A aimé We visited this campsite over the weekend as a pit stop for climbing scafell pike. This is an absolutely wonderful campsite, it’s well kept and obvious the owners take great pride to keep this campsite a wonderful space. The shower and toilet block is a nice clean space. Most of all the stars for this campsite go to the staff, we arrived in the dark and had an issue with some equipment we brought, we had the help of the staff that evening, the next day we had a delightful bacon cob before heading out for our climb, lots of advice was given for our route and a pleasant chat, to the next day with leaving having help to ensure we didn’t take the fells way home (issue on the way there with that route) it was a lovely weekend and I only wished we could have had another night to explore more of the grounds and local walks around the site. We had a stunning view also

N'a pas aimé The only thing which is not related to this campsite at all, was on the route to the site there are two options on the satnav, we just followed the quickest route in beknown to us this route took us up a very narrow steep road, with hair pin turns. We got stuck on this road and it was very traumatic 😂 - like I say this is not related to the campsite but it is a notice to anyone who isn’t driving a land rover to stick to the A roads and not divert off them via the fell roads unless you’re a very confident driver with a car that can take a 90 degree incline.
