A aimé Spacious pitches with plenty of privacy. Very well maintained site and great walks and cycle trails from site. Very friendly and welcoming staff Clean facilities

A aimé 5th time here - it’s our granddaughters favourite site. Spacious pitches, lovely showers, friendly staff and quiet location but nice play park and good bar/ restaurant on site

A aimé Spacious flat pitches. Very friendly & helpful welcome. Lovely location on the beach - we got a local map with walks and cycle routes from the site which was great. The site is very clean & tidy and well maintained. Facilities spotless. Sandpiper cafe bar on site was good. Dog friendly & dog walking area with agility course

A aimé Beautiful campsite in a great location for exploring the area. Peaceful and quiet . It’s in a dark sky area and on a clear night the sky is absolutely beautiful. The hosts are very friendly & helpful & there’s a cafe serving breakfast rolls in the morning & a small shop. We’ll definitely travelled in our motorhome and the pitches were well laid out and level but there are also Shepard’s huts which looked lovely & a bunkhouse and tent area We’ll definitely be back

A aimé We had an excellent stay. We were in a motorhome on hard standing with ehu. Plenty space between the pitches. Great location & very friendly site, all the other guests were very friendly too as most were there for a festival weekend. Despite there being live music annd bar on site it was peaceful & we didn’t feel disturbed by noise. Excellent communication via WhatsApp from Rick who was on site frequently and responded quickly to any queries & good local knowledge of transport/ walks. Facilities basic but clean & plenty hot water. More facilities being added all the time we were there - extra showers & handwash basin. We didn’t use the onsite catering but it looked great. There’s a lovely pub down the road also & easy to get taxis to & from the site into Preston or bus service 30 mins walk. There’s also a walk/ cycle path by the canal

A aimé Beautiful clean & friendly site with lovely finishing touches. We were greeted & welcomed by Mark who is very friendly & helpful. The facilities were spotless all the time, despite being busy. The kitchen area was small but great with microwave , washing machine & tumble dryer. The pitches are well set out and the site is very well maintained - it will only improve when the hedges & plants grow. We enjoyed playing in the field and walking by the river & beyond. Bonchester Hill is a good walk with great views. There’s a children’s playground in the village too. Next door the pub is great & we enjoyed drinks there a few times and Sunday lunch was good . Definitely recommend.

A aimé This is our fourth stay here. We love the site , good walks around the site, very friendly & helpful staff, very clean facilities. Great ambience, food & drink at The Coach House. Granddaughter loves the park

N'a pas aimé Nothing to dislike but room for improvement would be to upgrade the mini golf area with matting . Also, there’s no milk to buy in the shop, just the milk dispensing unit which is great but it wasn’t working the 2 days we were there.

A aimé The site was very clean & well maintained. It was quiet with plenty of space between the pitches

N'a pas aimé It just wasn’t for us- the location is next to the busy A65 which is not in itself a problem but there are no footpaths to walk down to Kirkby Stephen. You can take a longer route but even that is along single track lanes so be aware of traffic. If you have transport it would be a good base for visiting further afield or for a motorhome stopover. No nice walks directly from site which was no good for us with 2 dogs. We didn’t see anyone from the office the whole time we were there. There was a map directing us to our pitch which had a sign with our name on and there are lots of regular seasonal pitch holders there who we found to be very friendly & helpful. There is a contact number for staff if you have any queries which we didn’t need to use, easy to find your way about. We booked for 3 nights but just stayed for 2 as we felt a bit limited in the motorhome.

A aimé We loved this site - it was quiet and spacious with fantastic facilities. The showers are very clean and plenty space for drying. There is a communal area with tourist information and sitting and eating area. Immaculately presented grounds in keeping with the local environment. There’s a dog walk by the river. Great location with many walks from site and a nice riverside walk into Beddgelert with access to more walks, a few nice shops plus bars and restaurants. The staff are very friendly and always available for advice, queries and suggestions. We suggested maybe a specific area for boot and dog washing which was taken on board, although to be fair it’s not really needed as there are many water points and disposal areas across the site. The only thing that let us down was the weather so we couldn’t get up Yr Wyddfa but that means we will definitely be back and stay for longer next time.

N'a pas aimé Nothing to dislike - absolutely loved it . Disappointed that we are now classed as a mature couple! So that our review isn’t misleading, we are young at heart, fit and active 61 year olds.
