A aimé The whole campsite was delightful. The grass for camping was flat and had a number of picnic tables dotted around to make use of. The camp kitchen with 2 gas hobs, electric plugs, and plenty of seating under cover is a great touch. The washrooms were clean and tidy, with good water pressure. Very much loved teh hobbit houses and the shepahrds hut, woudl be fun to stay in one of those.

A aimé A back to basics campsite, with a nice flat camping field. Toilets and showers were functional.

N'a pas aimé A bit too expensive for a solo backpacker at £25 a night.

A aimé The camping area was very pleasant, I really liked how the pitches were enclosed by the letting the grass grow. The shower/toilet block looked unassuming but was excellent.

N'a pas aimé Check-in process. Apparently I should have received an SMS at time of booking and again the day of arrival, sadly neither arrived. This meant on arrival at 1700hr I had no idea where to pitch, and no staff anywhere. I called twice, and eventually I got a call back, but the person I spoke to wasn't particularly helpful and just said camp anywhere. Thankfully it was quiet, so it didn't matter. Not sure how happy I would be with this lacklustre customer service in a busy period.

It was difficult to hear with your poor phone signal, so advising to pick an available pitch was the best option for you at the time. We always try to answer calls within our office ours and out of office hours our voicemail advises guests to our website which has the camping Self Check In details. We hope to welcome you again in the future.

A aimé Great campsite, well organised with good, basic facilities. We visited as part of a group of 4 families enjoying a Father's Day camping weekend. The kids enjoyed exploring the woods, and there was plenty of space for everyone to have their group pitch without being crowded by a neighbouring group.

A aimé This was my second bikepacking trip on which I have stayed here. It's perfectly positioned on Hayling Island, bang in the centre. The site is a basic field set up, with compost toilets and a cold water shower. You can also hire a fire pit and wood from Peter and Charlie.

N'a pas aimé Perhaps a picnic bench or two wouldn't go a miss.

A aimé Travelled here with a fellow bikepacker, got there late, so we didn't meet the owners, however, having spoken with them on the phone prior to arrival I had all the info needed. Perfect location for us, with great facilities. We left before the café was open, so no idea whether the food quality was high, but it looked good.

N'a pas aimé It is a large camping area, yet all campers had been allocated pitches close to each other, rather than spreading us down the hill through the site.
