N'a pas aimé It states dog friendly but there were chickens, rabbits and ducks roaming. If I had known I wouldn't have booked as my dogs were agitated and restricted.
We were told when the gates closed in the evening but not the morning time.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Bhuel Rebecca,
in the pitchup description it mentions poultry provide 'free range eggs'. 'free ranging' in case you do not know means the poultry are not locked up all the time like most modern conventional hens that provide cheap supermarket eggs. it is also clearly explained on my website ieco.ie. if you look at previous comments on pitchup lots of guests mention they loved the fact the ducks and chickens are free to roam around. especially the children who visit with their families. they are a functional part of the ecosystem here and their manure provides nutrients for the evolving agroforestry project. i did mention to you that the poultry are locked in at 8pm at night too so that you could relax with your dogs after that.
Under 'Booking Terms and Conditions', when you booked on pitchup, it clearly says 'Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times', so i do not know how you felt your dogs were 'restricted'. Did you want the whole campsite to be a place for your dogs to run freely around?
The rabbits 'roaming' is a fabrication on your part. the 2 rabbits are in a small mobile 'tractor pen' that enables them to graze fresh grass each day and manure the land also.
a number of people come here to give their dogs experience being around the poultry and rabbits that helps calm their dogs down and train them (while keeping them on their leads). you should have your dogs trained by a professional. that would help you to handle them better and they would not be 'agitated' as you say. if you asked me while you were here i would have demonstrated what a well trained dog is like that does not make their guardians look foolish when they visit new places. from the moment you arrived your two dogs were jumping around the back seat of your car like mad things and that is why i guided you to quietest pitch so that you and your dogs would have a little space together. to be honest people like you who write negative comments may see that we do not allow dogs to visit in the future. a number of camping parks do not allow dogs and after meeting people like you i am starting to see why. you do know it is not compulsory to write comments?
i told you i lived in the cottage on site if you had any questions feel free to ask so why did you not ask me what time the gates open in the morning. 8am is the answer. you could have phoned or emailed me that question while you were here too.

Lovely homely site with extra white rabbits, chickens and ducks

A aimé Lovely ramshackle place with a friendly owner. We had plenty of privacy and a great view. Facilities are very basic so don't come expecting camping and caravanning club style but that is a plus for us.

Very basic facilities, but lovely hot shower.
Emplacement pour véhicule de tourisme sur herbe et gravier sans électricité
A aimé Quiet site, friendly and helpful staff. It was interesting with, chickens roaming, a bunny rabbit, veggie patches etc.
Lots of trees and shrubs.
Good outdoor dish washing with fresh was tap and a water filter dispenser.
The shower was lovely and hot, in a very basic hut, made of up cycled materials. One of the toilets was a composting one.
I can't say I disliked the place, but some might find it a little too eco.
10 minutes walk from super market and the town which has many eateries and pubs.
N'a pas aimé The first so called hard standing pitch we were put on was very wet soft and we got stuck, it took 15 minutes with our mats to get out.
Queuing for the 1 shower.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Christine, you were asked to park on a gravel area when you arrived late as there had been heavy rain that day and i was informed by the helper here that you did not listen to her directions and reversed on to the grass instead. She also said you were back on the gravel in 5 minutes (not 15mins) so don't be so dramatic and stop that exaggeratin. in future motor homes and camper vans will be guided to hard standing pitches so that there is no confusion.
Regarding the shower. why did you not sit in your motor home until the shower was free? there were only 4 people staying while you were here. i saw you were standing in a queue of one! Relax in life and don't be standing in queues when there is no need or trying to make queues. there are seats around if you want to sit down and admire the nature instead of making queues. suggestion: have a cup of tea in your motor home instead of standing alone outside. i am surprised you did not say you had to queue in the rain to make your suffering sound worse :)

A aimé The lovely raw eco way of the place.
The ducks and hens running free was lovely to see ..
N'a pas aimé Shower needs upgrading
Recommanderait à des amis Séjournerait à nouveau
Réponse du gestionnaire : You need upgrading ;) in the past Eco Camping Glamping used to get loads of 10s when this place was just a field and there was no shower and no gravel paths even. i used to text everyone to bring wellingtons when it was raining as there were no paths. 8 years later there is a woodland, nice walkways, a basic shower that is also the staff shower and 'we love it' and lots of increased biodiversity. what is happening to people. are you all becoming NPCs? Relax and enjoy life. if you haven't positive vibrations you are carrying negativity which is a burden in life. appreciate the simple things more and smile :).
Will definitely stay again!

A aimé We loved our stay. The view was amazing, it was only a 5 minute walk to the town with local shops, pubs and lovely shops. Lucy was such a lovely girl and was very helpful. There were ducks & chickens on site and they graced us with visits everyday, which was lovely when we come from a big town and never had that opportunity before. Such a serene time had by us both. We will definitely be back. Short trip away from the Cliffs if Moher, Spanish Point and Lahinch beach and golf club.

A aimé Great location. Near the town so can grab what you need if needed. The host, Mícheál, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. If we had an issue I wouldn't hesitate to ask him. The facilities we cleaned and well maintained and the pitch was level, soft and comfortable.
