We got lucky in that the adjacent pitch to ours was not occupied, which gave us more privacy than we would otherwise have had

N'a pas aimé It would have been useful to have had the shop fully stocked with meat such as sausages and burgers etc. These had run out by the time we arrived. I am sure they would have no problems selling these if they ensured a ready supply.

I always think there are never enough toilet cubicles on these places. There seemed to be 3x men’s and 3x women’s which doesn’t give much resilience.

We also appreciate your constructive comments and can only apologise that we had run out of fresh meat; demand is high, however we will definitely review how to keep the stock up during busy times. Regarding the toilets, we have 4 women’s cubicles, 3 men’s cubicles plus a urinal, and a family restroom. The recommended ratio of toilets to pitches is 1:30. Here at Fallow Fields we have a ratio of 1:15 pitches which is twice the recommendation. We do understand that these can feel busier during peak times.

A aimé Such a lovely campsite, staff were so lovely and helpful giving a awesome atmosphere. It was very clean.
The shop, food place, bar, games were a very welcome addition.
Archery was brilliant.

N'a pas aimé I disliked the amount of mosquitos but can't be helped just take bug spray etc!!!

A aimé This was our second trip to Fallow Fields. It is a lovely clean and welcoming site with very friendly staff and good clean facilities.
The field kitchen serves the best wood fired pizza I’ve ever had and the bar has a good selection of drinks.
Very much looking forward to coming back again.

N'a pas aimé I feel the shop has a limited variety for people who are traveling light and it would be handy if they took cash, or at least advertise that it’s a card only site.

Regarding the smell, we hope it didn’t affect your stay, however, onsite storage is the reality of rural locations that offer ‘like home’ facilities, and you can get the odd whiff!

A aimé Felt literally like a fallow field - tall grasses surrounding each pitch, and a short distance to the facilities and office/shop where all essentials could be found.
