A aimé Because site with great amenities , kitchenette , toilet and shower block which were lovely and clean.
A park and river ( with steps down to it) and lots of open space for the kids to play. Owner was really helpful in the fact we booked off pitchup and they’d put us all in different fields . So we needed up with the teepees which was great

N'a pas aimé Not a dislike really as it did state quiet times .
Just some of the children we were with found it hard to just shut off at the quiet time ( lots of sweets and pop didn’t help)

A aimé Absolutely stunning location. Very friendly hosts, immaculate pod with lots of space inside. There was electricity and lights, a big empty storage box for our kit and tables and chairs outside the pod. Lovely hot shower and bonus for us was use of kettle/ toaster. Although we didn't use it there was also a fridge and microwave. Fantastic! Oh an WiFi in a separate barn area to get our little phone fix!

A aimé Great facilities, really family and child friendly. Lovely, welcoming owners. Felt safe and secure. Having the wild swimming/paddling there was a real bonus. Lovely pod too, just an enjoyable, straight forwards stay!

A aimé Location is only 1 mile from a fantastic bar and restaurant and lots of walks
Fields were clean and well laid out.
Owners were friendly and helpful (we even got a lift to Kirkoswald)
Lovely quiet place.

N'a pas aimé There was a lack of toilet facilities and could do with a bigger shower block for ladies and men.

There are 14 showers and 14 toilets here at Mains Farm. I am wondering if you didnt find your way to our big block at the bottome of the car park.

Hosts were welcoming as always.

That golf buggy is a must have.

A aimé What a lovely camping spot!! Had the best time there. Not a far drive from the Lake District. Supplied hairdryer, fridge freezer kitchen and hob. As well as an honesty shop. Will be returning to the little gem. Everything for the full family to enjoy

A aimé Can see why this site has such good reviews. We stayed for 2 nights in a pod and honestly could not fault the place. Was extremely hot when we arrived so once we'd unpacked the car literally went straight to the river and within 3 minutes the kids were in and cooling off. Facilities excellent. Toaster, microwave and kettles to use as well as a fridge and freezer. Paid for a firepit and logs and we were pleasantly surprised at how many logs we were given, have stayed in many other places and ended up paying a fortune in logs but very generous amount given. Showers and toilets clean. Lovely little honestly shop which came in handy for a cold drink after a walk in the sunshine. Our first time in a pod and the only advice I can give is if it's hot bring a fan! We made the mistake of not bringing one and had the door open during the evening - only to have to battle the cast of bugs life come bed time - lesson learnt - keep the door and window closed 🙈😂 Lovely and peaceful at night time and we camped alongside some other very respectful campers who abided by the quiet hours so was a peaceful stay. Have already recommended to family.
