A aimé A fantastic campsite, it’s a children’s paradise. Room to play and explore and let their imagination lead their games, make friends and generally do what children love, climb trees, swing in the hammocks, make dens and have adventures! Our girls adored the lovely playhouse and most afternoons involved going down for tea!
For the rest of us, we could enjoy the tranquil setting, the beautiful sunsets over the fields and the antics of the resident chickens in the knowledge that the children were safe and really enjoying themselves. Our only regret was that the weather was so hot that we couldn’t explore all the local footpaths, definitely a site to return too which so many of the other campers seem to be doing and we can see why.

This is a really lovely rural area of Suffolk, Sally and Richard have created a real gem of a site with all its lovely touches. The last word must go to the children who when asked what they had enjoyed most on their holiday, all replied with playing at the campsite in the woods and in the playhouse!

Please tell us when you are here if you find an issue, otherwise we are unaware and cannot help!

We can put the immersion heater on if more hot water is required.

The only limit on the shower is 7 minutes for £1. You can add more if necessary..

We do not impose any limits on water usage but an awareness of the need to conserve water at this time of extreme drought is very much appreciated.

A aimé A little gem and most people return like us. Sally the owner couldn't be nicer. Chickens running around and a beautiful setting. We were allowed to BBQ subject to taking sensible precautions like wetting the grass.
We will be returning next year as we love the site and the area.

N'a pas aimé No real dislikes, but if someone flushes the toilet when you are showering the pressure drops and the shower goes cold.
So little to put up with for such a lovely site and not even worth dropping a star for

A aimé Great atmosphere, tidy campsite and friendly chickens! They have a fab set-up with hammocks in the forest and a decent old school swing set, we will definitely be returning. We also had a visit from the ice cream van!

We are completely surrounded by agricultural land and although harvest is an exciting time it is dusty and noisy for us all!

A aimé Brilliant for family camping. The girls had an amazing time exploring the play area and wooded area. The free range chickens were a hit too.
The availability of a fridge and freezer really makes the stay that much more comfortable and practical.
Lovely small campsite, very clean and well run.

N'a pas aimé Shower was ok but as highlighted, pressure and temperature consistency is hit and miss, which is particularly frustrating trying to wash the younger children.

A aimé The size of Sunnyside is perfect - not too big and the layout of pitches means that you have plenty of space. Owner was a lovely lady, facilities are all well maintained and clean, and we found this to be a great location for day trips around Suffolk. The community-run pub is an easy 10 min walk away and the surrounding scenery is lovely.

N'a pas aimé Nothing - this was exactly what we were looking for. The site only has one shower which we thought would be problematic but actually it was fine.

A aimé What a beautiful campsite! Very clean and well spaced. Plenty of room between pitches, toilets were clean and snack shop provided well. Lots of bots for kids to do and chickens wandering arpund free range being marvellous. The space was well kept and we had a lovely relaxing stay! Thank you!
