High Sand Creek Campsite

N'a pas aimé: Dogs not allowed in facilities which as a solo female traveller was hard as he is my protection and also I didn't want to lock him in the car on a hot day to go use the toilet or tie him up outside as anything could happen. I was told this was normal for sites but when i rang around locally to this and locally to where i lived was told it wasnt a normal thing.
I had a battery pack that had died and my phone was dead also and when i asked to use a phone to call my parents to let them know i was safe was told "we dont have phones only mobiles" but was not offered to use it. I had to find my way to the local shop and spend £20+ on another battery pack so I could charge my phone and call my parents.
Sadly just found the stay very uncomfortable and left very early morning

Réponse du gestionnaire : hi i was shocked to see you had used the review process to damage the good reputation of this campsite with a review that was at the very least inaccurate,
you made a 1 night booking and then phoned to ask if your dog a yorkshire terrier could go in the public showers and facilities also explaining you had never camped before in your life, we explained to you that unless you are visually impaired or have a disability that requires this then no you can't ,we have customers without dogs and people that are physically afraid of dogs that would not agree with a dog being in the showers and that it was against all hygiene regulations and other camping sites wouldnt allow this either.
your response to this was i will have to cancel my booking then we replied we can do this for you but you said no its ok i will still come.
when you arrived in your car for 1 night you asked if you could be on your own in an area on the field so we gave you a pitch on its own because you said your dog would be more settled and we explained that other dog owners have had no problems or incidents with tying their own dogs outside the door of the facilities.
later in the evening you came to the office when it was closed and said your phone was flat and you wanted to make a call to family and asked to use campsite phone system i said no but offered an alternative even though it was outside office hours and i asked you why you hadnt charged your phone on your journey here you said you had used it all up going online.
we listen and act on all complaints and treat customers very fairly but we wont change our policies to suit one person who uses the reviews to strike back at us

A aimé : Loved this campsite, right next to the salt marshes and wildlife.
Clean facilities and lovely walks!
Will definitely come back!!

N'a pas aimé: Nothing to do with the campsite but had a noisy family nxt to us with a baby crying all through the night, but it can't be helped that's camping I suppose!!

A aimé : Great campsite. Quiet location right next to the coastal path. Clean amenities and friendly staff. Not far from the local shop and Pub, both easy to get to. Also, excellent for bus services.

A aimé : Nice and clean facilities, designated and marked out pitches, great views, friendly staff on arrival, walking distance from cafe, pub and beach.

A aimé : Clean well maintained campsite, spacious, level pitches, walking access to salt marshes / coastline. Easy arrival / reception process, friendly and welcoming.

A aimé : Owner gave us a much better pitch than the ones reserved for pitchup bookings. Great view and facilities. Easy access to costal path.

A aimé : very close proximity to beautiful unspoilt saltmarshes- low key quiet site, very clean facilities

A aimé : Friendly and helpful staff on check in. Great location between Wells and Blakeney.
