Underhill Farm is a peaceful camping spot nestled under the impressive Llanymynech rocks and bordering the wonderful nature reserve. At the same time it is in a very easily accessible location on the Wales-England border, with only a short walk to the village shop and the pub. It is also easily accessible by public transport. The site is managed for wildlife and to provide lots of opportunities for exploration and adventure. We don't have many pitches so that everyone staying can enjoy the wild edges without camping in each others pockets. We have a communal fire pit and can dig personal fire pits next to tents on request. We have basic toilet and shower facilities, an indoor area for wet weather and plenty of games for hire. We also run informal activities such as pottery, story-telling, guided walks and canoeing for those staying with us.

Itinéraire

We are just off of the A483 which runs through both Oswestry (north of us) and Welshpool (south of us). From the south we are the first left turn (Underhill Lane) after you have climbed the steep hill out of Llanymynech, just before the big yellow 30/speed camera/Pant sign. From the North we are the second right after the cross guns pub, if you start going downhill then you have gone too far! Once you are on Underhill Lane the road bends to the left and then the right and we are the second left with the Underhill Farm sign outside. If you end up in the Llanymynech rocks wildlife trust car park just turn around and take the first right. By public transport, the nearest train stations are Gobowen (Oswestry) and Welshpool from which you would need to get buses. The X71 and the 72 regularly go from Oswestry to Pant and the X71 and X75 go from Welshpool to Pant. Alternatively you can get the X74 bus from Shrewsbury to Llanymynech and walk either up the road, alng the canal or through the nature reserve to get to the farm.
