Pitch is small and much to close to road making it noisy with cars going past and difficult to pitch my caravan. There are no car shows or attractions for discerning adults. Our family have to pay far too much to visit us for just an afternoon. The showers keep going off every few seconds.
We have been going to Billing for over 30 years but sadly this will be our last time!

Réponse du gestionnaire : We’re really sad to read this, as our returning holiday guests are so important to us. We’re always looking at ways to slow traffic of any kind down on and around the park, and we’re aware that more signage is needed – we are actively looking into this.

We also have a full activities and entertainment programme, which can be found on our social media pages and on our website, so you’re able to plan your time with us. A number of our activities are free, such as swimming – where else can you get this? We really are such great value for money!

We’ve invested millions back into the park and added some amazing new developments, such as our park shop stocked with your daily needs and yummy baked goods. We’ve even created a dedicated space for our touring guests. Don’t forget our beautiful Lake Club, perfect for the views and some great drinks – and of course, our delicious gelato!

It’s in our nature to take feedback like yours on board and keep learning and improving wherever we can. We’re sorry to hear that parts of your stay didn’t meet expectations, and we will continue to work on these areas to make the park enjoyable for everyone.

A aimé Water based activities are very good. Night time entertainment decent. My little lad loved the train. There is plenty to keep young ones entertained. New washing facilities very clean, the only thing that lets it down is the shower cubicles have no space to store your belongings.

My little lad loved watching the geese and swans going about their day.

N'a pas aimé Check in experience non existent. Nobody around to tell you what to do. Appeared to be understaffed around the camping area.

We stayed on a shelduck 5 hard standing pitch. ALL of the pitches were absolutely covered in poo. Some of which was down to the local geese/swans. There was also what appeared to be dog and cat poo everywhere. We had to spend 30 minutes clearing the pitch before setting our awning up.

There are a lot of travellers on the site. I have absolutely no problem with travellers, except for the behaviour of some of the younger ones. There was lots of shouting and swearing. General bad behaviour. At one point I watched 4 lads hanging out of a van ragging it around the site. Staff in the shop were watching on, apparently unbothered, probably too scared to do anything.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Thank you so much for your review and what a joy to hear your little lad loved the train! It’s such a massive hit with guests of all ages, and on a warm day, that little breeze as you ride around is just heaven!

We’re also incredibly lucky to be surrounded by so much natural beauty here from the gaggle of geese and the quacking ducks to the flutter of mini beasts in the wildflowers. There’s something quite magical about simply sitting and watching nature do its thing.

Now... about the poop! Yes, where there are birds, there are, well, little reminders that they’ve been! We like to celebrate their presence rather than see it as a negative though we have asked them nicely to clean up after themselves... unfortunately, they never listen!

That said, you absolutely shouldn’t have had to clean your pitch on arrival, and I’m really sorry about that. We do have a full Touring Team on site who should be available to meet and greet and ensure pitches are ready so we’ll definitely pass this feedback on and make sure it's followed up.

In terms of behaviour on park please know we have a strict zero-tolerance policy when it comes to anti-social behaviour. If anything of concern is observed by our Welcome Team or Security, they will take immediate action. We want Billing to be a safe and enjoyable space for everyone.

Plenty of things to entertain children ( unfortunately we wasn’t there for that ) could easily spend a week there as so much to do

I completely understand how frustrating it must have been to have your clothes getting wet in the shower cubicles. To help with this, we have a delivery of hooks on the way to the park very soon, which will make a big difference in keeping clothes dry and adding convenience during your next visit.

Regarding the toilet waste area and the queues, we completely agree that this isn’t ideal. We are planning to add a second waste pipe as part of our future development to help ease this issue and improve the overall experience.

But slot machine are cash doesn’t make sense

I’m genuinely sorry about the inconvenience caused by our card-only payment policy. I completely understand how frustrating that must have been especially when it wasn’t made clear to you during booking or upon arrival. You absolutely should have received a pre-arrival call, which is when we normally go through important details like payment options and other useful information for your stay. I’m so sorry this was missed and will follow up with our team to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

You also raised a really fair point about the slot machines accepting cash I agree it can be confusing. These machines are managed by an external provider, which is why they operate differently from the rest of the park facilities.

N'a pas aimé Only 1 elsan point (that had no signage) and you had to lift cassettes to waist height to use it. This was also the only indicated grey waste disposal point. Trying to empty a Wastemaster into here was not fun! I did find out that there is a drive over grey waste disposal point as we were leaving but it’s not marked on the site plan.

A aimé The facilities were brilliant and was amazed at the space on the pitches. Husband was able to try his new hobby of fishing too. A lot of the things were closed in the week possibly as slightly out of season but livened up at the weekend when lots of families arrived. Loads to do for families and lovely to see all the children playing on and around the fields. Walks around the lakes were beautiful.

N'a pas aimé Wasn’t clear when the toilet and shower block was closed. Husband went to have a shower and power went off apparently every day at 12 but we hadn’t been informed of this.
