Agrohaczów za Rzeką

The 14th-century UNESCO-listed church in Haczów (five minutes’ drive) may be first on your sightseeing schedule – it’s one of the largest Gothic-style wooden churches in Europe. Go inside to admire the frescoed walls and the gilded, baroque-era religious paintings. Another historic place well worth your time is gorgeous Krosno (20 minutes). Start your exploration in the medieval central square, lined with pastel-coloured houses, and be sure to visit Kamienica Wójtowska cultural museum, the Franciscan monastery and the Glass Heritage Centre, honouring the city’s long glass-making tradition. Subcarpathian industrial heritage is celebrated at the Museum of Oil and Gas Industry in Bóbrka (25 minutes), where you can tour the world’s oldest still-extant oil mine. If the kids are getting grumpy with all this culture, treat them to a day running around in the tree canopy at the Rope Adventure Park (20 minutes).
