The Eyrie

Take a boat trip to explore the Isle of Lewis’s rugged shoreline and resident wildlife. The vast white-sand beach at Luskentyre (one hour and 10 minutes) is great for a walk with the dog or a spot of wildlife watching; you might catch a glimpse of seals, dolphins and the occasional roaming pony around here. If you’re into watersports, this is where you can launch your canoe or paddleboard. At the northernmost tip of the island, Comunn Eachdraidh Nis (one hour and 15 minutes) includes a museum with displays related to local industries such as crofting, fishing and weaving.
