A aimé Pitch size was really good, and it was nice that its hedged off in between each pitch so really private pitches. The hard standing area was too big compared to the grassed area at the side. It was nice to have water by your pitch

N'a pas aimé You arrive at the site and you are welcomed by a lovely reception area, beautiful new chalets and think it's brilliant, however, when you are directed to the tourer pictures it's another world completely!! When we arrived at reception they didn't even have a record of us, luckily we had a print out from pitch up! Some pitches look like they have not been used for a very long time as they are overgrown. We arrived on our pitch, and don't be fooled into thinking because it's called "Seaview" you will actually have that, as it's surrounded by hedges that make it impossible to see the sea!! The lighting on the site, well certainly the one next to our pitch didn't work. At the back of our pitch was sawn off tree stumps which just looked abandoned thrown there, with overgrown weeds and nettles. The toilet and shower facilities were so outdated, they were terrible!!! They are located in a hexagon shaped building, which has doors around it, each door leading to a room which has a toilet, sink and shower, as I walked around this building the majority were locked with signs on saying closed, in total there was only 4 rooms open!! So for the whole tourer site there was only 4 toilets/showers available!! As they are all in a room, if 4 people are using the showers, you have no access to a toilet!! They were unbelievably outdated, there was no facility to even dry your hands after having been to the toilet - no hand drivers, no paper towels!! One out of the four rooms, had a light which barely worked and just kept flashing on and off when you went in. The showers, well......it took quite some time to get any hot water, the shower leaked, and they were on a timer so you had to repeatedly keep pressing the button to get a constant flow of water, as it only stayed on for about 30-60 seconds. Some people were drying their clothes/wet suit in the toilet/shower room, so the entire floor was soaking wet, trying to get changed in there with a soaking wet floor was just not acceptable facilities.
The children's play park contains a couple of swings and an old small dinosaur slide that had seen better days, the rest of it was fenced off with closed signs.
We did walk to the beach from the site, however it's a fair walk, on the way was downhill but coming back was a steep hill, up single track roads!!
I never once saw anyone cleaning the toilet facilities, albeit when we came back after having been to the beach, there had been some toilet cleaner put down, but the floors in the area were dirty!! It really felt like the tourers were just dumped in this unkempt area away from anyone.
We were only staying for 2 nights, and in all honesty that first night I looked for other sites to move to, we ending up staying having already set up, but it cost us £130 for two nights, for a tourer pitch with EHU, 2 adults, 1 child and a dog, so its a not a cheap stay, and it's not worth that money at all!! Even £20 a night and I would feel like I had been robbed!! I wish I had taken note of other peoples reviews, but when we read them before arriving we would have lost all our money so thought we would give it a go, but it ruined the end of our holiday.
The Wifi kept dropping out, so wasn't ideal for children with their iPads etc.

N'a pas aimé I don’t usually write negative reviews, but I felt it was necessary on this occasion as I was extremely disappointed with our stay. When we first arrived, the site appeared well maintained, with lots of new and attractive chalets, which gave us a positive first impression. Unfortunately, the camping area was very different.
The pitches and surrounding areas were poorly maintained, with litter scattered around the site. The shower blocks were outdated and very basic, and on several occasions there was no hot water. The facilities for children were also extremely disappointing. The ‘play park’ consisted of two swing stands with three swings, one of which had a broken chain with no swing, and a dinosaur slide that had clearly seen better days. The football area was essentially an overgrown field with two very worn-out goals. Again, there was rubbish in several places and the whole area felt neglected and poorly maintained.
We also spoke to one of the chalet owners during our stay, who asked us honestly how we were finding the site. We explained our concerns and, interestingly, he agreed with us. He told us that the facilities have apparently been this way for a long time and that chalet owners had previously been promised a new play area, which still hasn’t happened. He also explained that chalet owners are now being asked to contribute towards paying for it. From the way he spoke about his own experience, I would also be very cautious about purchasing a chalet here.
I genuinely never write negative reviews, but I feel this is something potential visitors should be aware of before booking. The initial impression of the site was very different from the reality of the camping facilities, and unfortunately, based on our experience, I would not recommend staying here.

Swimming pool was advertised as part of the holiday package but unfortunately we were asked to pay 10.00 per person for each use of pool

N'a pas aimé The camping area - non electric area. Feels like the camping side is very neglected. Pitched squashed together, we arrived to a very tired looking camping area once our drive past the lodges!

A big group were pitched and cooking on a bbq ( not currently allowed) dogs tied up and left by the tent and generally not a good feeling so we left and went home. Such a shame but for £55 for the night and being next to a big group it was t worth it. £10 pp to use the pool too can’t check in until 4pm snd off by 10am!

A aimé The pitches are nicely spaced out, flat and have hedges going round which makes it naturally private, very clean and well looked after, facilities are right in the centre of the site making it close for everyone, my wife really liked that the showers as they where all individual with toilet and changing area. The girls enjoyed the swings, pool and going round on there scooters. There is also your own drinking water tap 🚰 on every pitch.

N'a pas aimé Having to pay £10 per person to use the pool is a little unusual as there isn’t much else to do on the site for the price that you have already paid for staying there, and because there’s no lifeguard it’s a ratio of one adult to two children. There’s also no shop or eatery.

Lovely beaches nearby and some nice walks as long as you’re happy to trek some hills
