A aimé We had a pleasant stay at Hollins Holiday Park for a couple of nights tent camping. The park was easy to access, generally very clean and tidy, and offered spacious pitches with reliable electric hook-ups and Wi-Fi. A small park can be found on site with a couple of swings, and small climbing frame which overlook the chickens.

One of the perks was being able to walk over to the sister park, which was around a 10m walk or so - and let my daughter enjoy the swimming pool whilst they also had a bar that served food; a pint was around £6 which we have a couple of, whilst they had a fridge of desserts that my daughter sampled and enjoyed. A small shop on the sister site also contained a lot of the things you may need or have forgotten - in contrast, they had minimal options within the reception of Hollins Farm site, and we only found this open on one occasion during our stay which wasn't really an issue and we appreciate we visited in maybe the quieter part of the week.

The facilities on site were great - the showers/toilets were in abundance and some of best we've experienced when camping. The pot wash area was decent and laundry area again was to a good standard and reasonably priced to use.

N'a pas aimé Some pitches are on noticeable inclines or declines, which wasn’t a major issue for us but did make cooking and using tables a bit awkward due to sliding —non‑slip mats would be useful. The beach, advertised as a five‑minute walk, wasn’t quite what we expected; very stony with quicksand warnings, so not ideal for a typical beach visit which we initially had expected - our own fault for not researching more I guess!

You will need to drive out if you wish to go anywhere else other than the sister parks although there are some nice walks around the site.

The sister hotel had events on i.e. a singer/entertainer on a couple of nights a week, which was unfortunate, as it fell on the evening we arrived and then when we'd left. Maybe an extra night would be great here to accommodate more guests. The games room felt tired, with flies at the entrance and a table football unit filled with rubbish, which was a shame given the otherwise good facilities.

We really appreciate your constructive feedback. We’re sorry that some of the pitches made things awkward due to the incline, and we’ll certainly consider your suggestion regarding non-slip mats. Thank you also for highlighting the condition of the games room; this is something we can look into and improve.

A aimé Lovely quiet site, shower block was excellent, clean and bright. Site staff friendly. Great that we could walk to their sister site Silverdale which was a bonus. Swimming, bowling, restaurant and bar excellent, especially when raining !

A aimé We really like the area, close to the M6 but not that you’d know it from the campsite. The facilities were excellent and very well maintained and the campsite itself was well kept. There are some lovely walks in the area too.

N'a pas aimé We were at quite a busy end of the tent pitches and everyone had cars by their tents, sometimes more than one vehicle/tent and it felt crowded.

A aimé The farm and facilities were immaculate. I liked how you could use the sister park and its facilities, but were still far enough away so that bowling, arcades, swimming weren't the central focus of the holiday. Lovely beach very close, and walks in very close proximity. Shop 7 minute drive in silverdale. Really liked the place.

N'a pas aimé Pitch on a slight slope. But to be expected as is with a lot of places.

A aimé A lovely quiet campsite. Perfect for families. The toilet/shower block was the cleanest I’ve ever seen on a campsite - it was immaculate. The wardens were really helpful and friendly. The facilities on site were excellent - the washing up station was great. There was the added bonus of a communal freezer.

A aimé Absolutely everything! Staff were extremely friendly hand helpful. Lovely clean pitch! Bathrooms and wash room were immaculate. Fantastic views. Lovely walk around Arnside circular and across the fields to the sister site for a few beers and food!
