A aimé : The short walk to the lakeside was a gift.. The track to the site was a little rough but doable. Nice lady came to check on everyone on an evening which was nice and she was so helpful.. Will stay again at this beautiful basic site.

A aimé : Perfect place for an overnight stay. Friendly people. Yes there’s portaloos and no washing facilities but it’s a pop up campsite so no expectations.

A aimé : Absolutely stunning scenery, woke up to breathtaking views of the mountains. Had a short walk down the path and was greeted with an amazing lake view where we had the option to swim but was too cold for that 😂 Lady greeted us in the morning and had answers to any questions we had and was very helpful.

N'a pas aimé: The weather which has nothing to do with the camp site. I would go again but will plan it at last minute when I know there is likely to be sunshine and no storms.

A aimé : The location was beautiful! Right on the river so the acoustics were fantastic. Beautiful scenery with hills, mountains and wildlife nearby. Great places to walk and a lake nearby for swimming and canoeing. The cafe nearby serves a stunning breakfast or lunch, sitting right on the river. Very laidback hosts made the stay even better - nothing worse than too many rules! This is almost completely wild camp location as no signal, showers or toilet block (just portaloos), but we knew this before booking and we loved it - no sitting on phones all weekend, just socialising which is what it should be! Just remember to download your music to your phone beforehand so you can play music. The only downside if any was the ground, it is a clay ground so when wet can get very dirty, so bring a good groundsheet for your tent and perhaps one for your sitting area. This couldn’t be helped though as the area saw heavy downpour which caused the river to burst its banks. Didn’t ruin the stay at all though, we had a fantastic time! Highly recommend this campsite and will be returning.
