Boots at the ready… Bluebell Wilds is just next to the Bishop Bennet Way, a popular long-distance trail that leads to the equally splendid Sandstone Trail and a number of other footpaths. That puts a whole range of walks within easy reach – along with a canalside pub 20 minutes’ stroll away for those post-walk pints. This adults-only site is part of a small farm close to the Cheshire/Shropshire border, about 10 minutes’ drive from Whitchurch. There are lovely rural views all around, and the site is often treated to some spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Whitchurch has plenty of places to pick up picnic bits to nibble while you watch the sky, and it also has takeaways that will deliver to site. Facilities on site include a washing-up area, chemical disposal point and modern toilet block with separate male and female toilets and a couple of wet rooms with showers. When you’re not out walking, there’s plenty more to do nearby, including castles, a gin distillery and a watersports lake; expand your horizons a little further and you can make day trips to Chester, Shrewsbury, Liverpool or Manchester. Getting out to all of these should be straightforward as the site is only a short way from the A41 for speedy journeys.

A aimé Lovely site so quiet and peaceful. Kim the owner was lovely. We had a really nice stay.
Great facilities, microwave, fridge, freezer, toaster, kettle. Clean toilets and showers. Shops near by too.

A aimé Lovely peaceful adult only site, the bell tents are so well equipped and have everything you need! They are so cosy and have additional blankets and comfy beds.The facilities onsite are immaculate and modern. Lovely arrival message clearly explaining everything. We will 100% be returning.

N'a pas aimé Work was going on locally from 8am and quite loud for a Sunday morning not ideal.

A aimé This site is gorgeous- quiet,pretty clean spacious, good showers,toilets wash up facilities, electric,water and waste facilities.
The pub by the canal,20mins walk away, was lovely

N'a pas aimé I like to walk to shops etc but it was a bit too far to any. The walk we did using OS maps was poorly serviced.
Would be nice to have a basics supply on site.

A aimé Everything!!!! The site is small and adults only so quiet, there's no music allowed so no annoying second hand music. The pitches are a good size and level. The facilities are amazing - the showers are wet rooms so plenty of space to get dressed after your shower. The pot wash area has a fridge and freezer, toaster, microwave and kettle - what a bonus!
There is an enclosed dog walking area which was great particularly in the morning and that last potter round at night.
The site is near some good walks. Whitchurch and Nantwich are close - both nice market towns.
I will definitely be returning.

N'a pas aimé The A41 is close to the site so you can hear it BUT it did not impact on my stay or how relaxed being on the site made me feel.

A aimé Bluebell Wilds is a beautiful and peaceful site.
We stayed for 7 nights and it made the perfect base for us for travelling around (e.g. Chester, Chester Zoo, Shrewsbury, Nantwich, canal walks)
The facilities were amazing - clean and modern. The showers were the best we've experienced at a campsite.
The pitch was large and spacious. There was clear boundaries with cute bunting between each pitch.
The microwave and freezer was a bonus!
We would definitely stay again.

A aimé Small, secure campsite with good facilities. Owner was really accommodating with placing us near family who had also booked. Bathrooms and toilets were really clean.

N'a pas aimé The campsite was great, the only thing is when we arrived on the Friday there wasn’t any soap in the ladies and this wasn’t refilled till the Sunday

Attractions à proximité

This may be an adults-only site, but there are plenty of ways to indulge your inner kid nearby… You might like to start by bouncing across the inflatable obstacle course at Alderford Lake (10 minutes’ drive), which also has wild swims and watersports, before going wide-eyed at the prospect of all the flavours on offer at The Ice Cream Farm (20 minutes). More grown-up days out are on hand too, including wanders around Cholmondeley Castle Gardens (10 minutes) and Beeston Castle (20 minutes) or seeking out the (not very) secret location of Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker (25 minutes). And maybe you’d also like to try the tipples at the Three Wrens Cheshire Distillery (15 minutes)? A little further afield, you might like to head to Chester (half an hour) for a wander among the half-timbered houses, a bit of retail therapy at Cheshire Oaks shopping village or a day of animal encounters at Chester Zoo. Liverpool (55 minutes) is also a great place for a day out.
