A aimé : Lovely little site a 5 minute walk from Cheshire Oaks and two great pubs within a 2 minute walk. Very basic site with a portaloo, water and EHU by the stables.
We booked the hard standing for one night and it was perfect. We slept in the pop top. Yes, you can hear the traffic from the road but it didn’t bother us at all.
The owner quickly responded to our messages when we arrived and we didn’t need to contact her again until we thanked her for a perfect stay.
We have stayed at the CAMC up the road, and for one night, prefer this one.
We will be back.

A aimé : Ideal location for Chester and Cheshire oaks it is just a short walk away, great hardstanding pitch with EHU, right next to a really nice pub/restaurant. Host gave brilliant directions to find the pitch and was on hand for any questions or local info. Will definitely stay again

A aimé : Peaceful place to stay. Got to park alone for privacy. Pub right behind the site to get something to eat and two others close by. Lady who owns the site was lovely and helpful. Short walk to Cheshire oaks.

N'a pas aimé: Portable loo not ideal very basic. Only 1 portable loo which would be terrible if field busy

Réponse du gestionnaire : Very misleading review, you decided to pitch in the field (all guests have this option) and we’re fully able to pitch on hardstanding if desired. My page states extremely clearly the facilities are basic, so if you don’t want basic facilities (many vdubbers love off grid) don’t book! Obviously when camping is open (currently closed until next year) more portaloo facilities are hired in, as we only have one booking per night I feel the toilet to pitch ratio of 1:1 is more than adequate. So to make a comment based on an inaccurate presumption and add such a low rating due to your own insufficient research is extremely mean spirited

I am very sorry that the toilets were not in perfect condition as they are attended several times a day, however, they will only be as clean as they are left by the previous user which I am guessing may have happened on this occasion. Generally the toilets receive complementary feedback 🤞🙏

A aimé : Quiet, flat meadow. Toilets clean. Pub next door is excellent!

N'a pas aimé: Wasn't obvious where to pitch and also park (especially as the weather was wet, and the field was a little boggy in places).

I’m actually surprised the meadow isn’t more wet given the unprecedented amount of rain we have had this month, I’m just pleased that this does not seem to have affected your stay and another positive vote for the pub next door is always good to hear 👍

A aimé : Simple sight and the cleanest portaloo I have ever been in!
Felt like we were in the middle nowhere. Would happily stay here again.
