A aimé : Nice and peaceful. Toilets and shower basic but nice and clean. Site small, nicely set out.

A aimé : A beautiful secluded site. Mostly flat park up. Fab views. Very laid back. Facilities basic but clean. Had a kettle in the bathroom block which was great for hot water bottle filling!

N'a pas aimé: Washing up sink had no hot water but this seems like a temporary situation as I was told it was all being upgraded.

A aimé : The site is basic. However it has everything you need and is clean and tidy. Great views of the countryside and only a five minute walk to the cinder track. Would definitely visit again.

A aimé : The hardstanding for your car was class. The location was nice and out the way. Its on a hiking cycling trail that connects whitby to Scarborough. I would return but only as a solo I don't think my wife would appreciate the toilet block

N'a pas aimé: Was hammerd by midges. The toilet block was dire really needs some love and payment for the shower was also skanky how ever was warm.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Hi Ashley. Thanks for your review. Just to let you know - We are currently on with building new purpose built facilities around to replace the temporary shower block. The payment for the shower is purely so it works on a timer and doesn’t get left on when not in use. The new shower block doesn’t have this coin meter /timer system in - it has the button timer ones. These should be open very soon. Sorry we can’t help the midges - good old great British weather 🫣

A aimé : Everything - helpful and friendly owners, brilliant local walking routes, tidy well maintained facilities, level pitches, great for surrounding towns and beaches.

N'a pas aimé: Owners were not welcoming/ friendly. Nobody was there to give some guidance/ instructions, just came to tell us to keep our small dog- a toy poodle- on his lead; and we were just two campervans parked in an empty site. Bathroom/shower was precarious,there is nothing on site inviting you to stay or come back. We won’t recommend it at all

Réponse du gestionnaire : Real shame you feel this, all we did was politely ask you to keep your dog on a lead - this is one of the very few rules we have here, regardless of size/breed or nature - No one else has ever had a problem with it. We have lambs & sheep in the adjoining field, horses & livestock surrounding, Also the drive to the holiday cottages & a public right of way. We also have ground nesting birds nearby & other camper’s don’t always appreciate loose dogs. We don’t even have our own dogs loose around the farm. No one has ever found this unreasonable apart from yourselves. So this is a first. Also on your arrival when you were setting up my older mother assured you where you were pitching was fine. We are currently on with building new purpose built facilities to replace the temporary shower block - this should be open shortly. We like to think we are pro active owners and approachable to any issues & take all feed back on board Thanks

A aimé : The pitch is self service so you can just turn up and start getting setup straight away. The site is easy to get to on motorbike and the staff, when you see them are very welcoming and accommodating if you have issues. For example I accidently booked the wrong dates so I arrived a day late and they managed to resolve the issue so I could stay my original holiday plan, they even refused my payment even though it was my fault. (Obviously dependent on if they had pitches available). The toilet block looked a bit intimidating from the outside but once you're inside it's nice and clean and cleaned atleast daily. The shower was nice but coin operated (Only accepts £1 and £2 coins so stock up before you go.) The location itself is what you're really looking for it's so close to some relaxing trips/walks out and the sky is so clear at night I could count satellites going past. The obvious reccomendation is to go see Robin hoods bay which is just down the road and for food there's a nice cafe in ravenscar and a good restaurant about 40 minute walk from the site.

A aimé : Quiet, peaceful with outstanding views. Perfect spot to get on the cinder track for a days walking,biking. Dog friendly with basic facilities covering all needs.
