Tarn House Caravan Park

A aimé : Warm toilet block and showers with plenty of hot water and space. Pitches quite large and well marked out. Good facilities for washing up, laundry etc.
The very warm and friendly welcome from Rachel, who was extremely helpful. She stayed on to sort out our booking even though she had finished her shift. 👍

N'a pas aimé: The very long trek uphill to check in at reception. Not good if you have mobility issues. Only WiFi is in the club house at reception.
This is a very crammed site with lots of touring pitches in complete shade of trees.
It's also quite a windy site. Ok for a 1 night stop over, but would not stay again.

A aimé : The site was beautifully kept. Staff gave first class customer service both when adjusting the booking and throughout the stay. The pitch was fully serviced. The site was just excellent, one of the very best we have ever stayed at. A credit to the staff.

N'a pas aimé: Towing pitches badly arranged for parking. lack of site security. taps in facility blocks faulty. Otherwise good value for money.

A aimé : Facilities were spotless, the showers were the best I’ve had anywhere. The site was well maintained and in a great setting with plenty to do locally. The on site bar and Restraunt are great.

A aimé : Lovely peaceful site, great facilities, nice clean toilet shower block right opposite camping pod, beautiful bar/restaurant in the country house at the top of the site serving delicious pizzas & good selection of beers & offers on spirits. All the staff in the bar & reception were super friendly & made us feel very welcome & plenty of play areas for the kids.
The camping pod was lovely & cosy painted in dark blue with Moroccan style lamp shades & fabrics. No.31, Tea & coffee facilities provided, storage unit for clothes & tv with freeview box, the bed was a small double but perfectly comfy with plenty pillows & warm duvet plus bed throw.
Not mentioned in the description but there is also a small fridge in the pod enough to keep milk, a few drinks & a small amount of food in. We took our own camping fridge but probably wouldnt have bothered had we known.
On the small porch area was a small garden table & 2 chairs. There is plenty of grass area around the pods to put more comfy camping chairs on if you take your own.
All told we really enjoyed the site & surrounding area & would definitely return maybe try out a caravan or chalet next time .

N'a pas aimé: Nothing really to dislike but just a little thing that made us smile was the clean bedding was left in a pack on the bed ready for us to make our own bed 😊.

A aimé : The facilities (very comfortable bathroom facilities and a laundry room), the environment was very peaceful, the on-site shop was handy and the on-site restaurant/bar served VERY good food. It was child-friendly, but in a well-behaved way - not like some campsites we've visited. We'll definitely be back.

A aimé : Lambs in the field next to our pitch, the underfloor heating in the shower/toilet block, onsite pub & lovely beer garden

N'a pas aimé: Toilets could be cleaned more often. Some other guests were quite noisy

A aimé : The site was spotless. Excellent facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful. The touring pitch was spacious, level and in a great position backing onto fields. The site is ideally situated for visiting Skipton and beyond. The food in the clubhouse was very good.
