A aimé Clean facilities, quiet location, no light pollution, stunning sunset and star gazing! Camp fire hire, friendly welcoming hosts, easy access/self check in and set up. Great value for money. Benches for meal times. Friendly but private/respectful feel. It wont let me delete the wifi rating but no internet obviously which is a good thing for me! Lots of lovely places to visit 10mins away including vegan options in Holt and seal trips, stunning views in Blackney etc

A aimé OMG! Large open spaces for free camping - not restricted to pitches. Two large fields, one with wild grass in the centre (so preventing people playing football etc and making a racket), but the second field is totally open. The showers are very good indeed, free of charge and can be adjusted by the user. Toilets are squeaky clean. Plenty of clean stand pipes for water. Free freezer box to chill ice blocks. Plenty of USB points for phone charging. Honesty box for the fire pit, and wood - pay cash or online.
Just loved the space and freedom to pitch where you like - without noise (or dogs!!!). Remote quiet location.
N'a pas aimé NOTHING, but good to know: being so remote and quiet, a generator is used for electricity for everything (set times for AM and PM). However shower powered by gas so hot water in showers all day long.
All told that is part of the charm and beauty of this very quiet, well appointed campsite. You know this campsite is loved and looked after by it's owners.

A aimé Lovely camp site! Has everything we needed for the weekend. Would definitely recommend taking push bikes if you want to explore the local area

A aimé How much space there is and how quiet it is. Facilities fibe for what we needed and a pub within walking distance. This is the 4th time we have stayed here and would come again.

N'a pas aimé Generator needs to come on at 7am, 8am is too late for Hot Water.
Need some more room in the bathroom area, no hooks or anywhere to put anything. Luckily there were only 2 other tents, if the field was a quarter full, then the access to the facilities would be a real problem - 2 sinks is not enough.
Electric socket by a mirror for hair would be helpful

I am saddened to see the very low score of 4 given in your review. I would like to clarify and make clear of the following, for any future guests who are reading this.....
1) Hot water is available 24/7 in the Showers & Outdoor Washing up area as these are serviced by gas.
2) There are a total of 5 sinks & 4 Washing up sinks on site, and hooks in all the showers for clothes and towels.
3) Please understand that the site is in a remote & peaceful area surrounded by wildlife so we personally feel that 8am is soon enough for the Generator to come on & some of us enjoy a lie in once in a while! This has been mentioned numerous times by the hundreds of guests who have stayed before, in that they like peace and quiet and that the generator is not running too late or too early each day. In fact you are the first in 5 years to say it should have been on earlier!
Lastly, please appreciate that there is no mains electricity available on site to power 'luxury extras' hence the reason for the generator to power the batteries and phone charging. We are clear in our advertising that Barley Fields is all about the location offering space, peace and quiet with 'basic' facilities. We by no means profess to being a "mod con" site with all the home style comforts and we certainly have no intention of doing so!
We are confident that this is one of the attractions for our many repeat guests!!

A aimé Fantastic field with beautiful oxeye daisies along the edge. Quiet site when we stayed. Huge expanse of sky, could certainly see the thunderstorm approaching! The location so easy to go to local sights and beaches. Highly recommend Holkham Hall and Brancaster sands
