Ce camping calme et spacieux offre d'excellentes installations propres (douches chaudes, braseros). Les clients apprécient le choix de leur emplacement et le cadre rural magnifique, idéal pour explorer la côte du Norfolk. N'a pas aimé Generator needs to come on at 7am, 8am is too late for Hot Water.
Need some more room in the bathroom area, no hooks or anywhere to put anything. Luckily there were only 2 other tents, if the field was a quarter full, then the access to the facilities would be a real problem - 2 sinks is not enough.
Electric socket by a mirror for hair would be helpful

I am saddened to see the very low score of 4 given in your review. I would like to clarify and make clear of the following, for any future guests who are reading this.....
1) Hot water is available 24/7 in the Showers & Outdoor Washing up area as these are serviced by gas.
2) There are a total of 5 sinks & 4 Washing up sinks on site, and hooks in all the showers for clothes and towels.
3) Please understand that the site is in a remote & peaceful area surrounded by wildlife so we personally feel that 8am is soon enough for the Generator to come on & some of us enjoy a lie in once in a while! This has been mentioned numerous times by the hundreds of guests who have stayed before, in that they like peace and quiet and that the generator is not running too late or too early each day. In fact you are the first in 5 years to say it should have been on earlier!
Lastly, please appreciate that there is no mains electricity available on site to power 'luxury extras' hence the reason for the generator to power the batteries and phone charging. We are clear in our advertising that Barley Fields is all about the location offering space, peace and quiet with 'basic' facilities. We by no means profess to being a "mod con" site with all the home style comforts and we certainly have no intention of doing so!
We are confident that this is one of the attractions for our many repeat guests!!
Would definitely stay here again.

A aimé Big open space which was amazing, very peaceful and cute little set up.
Amazing washing up area with very hot water and liquid and sponges so you don’t even need your own. Toilets were fine and an extra porta loo if you’re parked in the field further away which I found helpful!
Cheap fire pit hire and some cute little benches dotted around which were a helpful touch.
N'a pas aimé When I had a shower at night I couldn’t find the light, I don’t think there was one so had to shower in the dark!? (The showers are kind of outside but under cover).
Not really their fault but where the grass had been cut in the field there was lots of thistles so couldn’t walk bare foot at all.

N'a pas aimé Not aimed at campsite, but as always there were people loud well past 11pm which made it difficult to fall asleep. Shame there is no one on site.

A aimé What a lovely find ! We stayed for one night here but will definitely be returning for further stays. Campsite was clean, showers and toilets were clean and the facilities provided were excellent. Highly recommend.

Great for children - they even have a selection of outdoor toys you can borrow like swing balls and badminton sets.

A aimé There was plenty of space - set over 2 big fields. Plenty of fresh water taps. Porta loos as well as toilets in the shower/toilet/washing up area. Common areas all spotlessly clean and the owners really helpful.

A aimé The environment, the cleanliness of the site and facilities, the relaxed atmosphere, the extra touches (s'mores packs for sale, fire pits for hire, hand painted signs) and the ease coming in/out (honesty box).
The site is basic but had everything we needed; it was perfectly situated for where we wanted to visit and the sunsets/sunrises/fires were amazing.

Showers and toilets are very clean, if basic.
Even a plug socket to charge your phone.

A aimé A great site. You can pick your own pitch, have a campfire, water taps around the site as well as chem toilets in both fields which saves dashing to the main block in the middle of the night. Block was also cleaned daily. Loved the dark skies so we could star gaze in the evenings. Will definitely go back.
N'a pas aimé Nothing to do with the site, just the people who ignore the rules. Loud music at night (they were told by another group to turn it down) and children and some parents running around screaming at 10pm or playing round the toilet block. It was a minor problem but would not stop us coming back.
