Penn Meadow Farm

A aimé : No restrictions on arrival & departure time, as I needed to depart early for an event.

N'a pas aimé: No allocated pitch, or defined camping areas, it was just an open field, but some people like that. There were shower facilities, but they were within the three toilet cubicles, which often meant the toilets were frequently unavailable. There were insufficient toilet facilities for the number of people that were on site.

A aimé : Seeing the llamas

N'a pas aimé: We arrived amidst a huge car event/ festival which was not advertised on booking. We began our drive up the horrendous drive way (we were in a van and was skidding all over due to awfully uneven ground). We located the busy fields and had no idea where to go or who to see, as nothing was sig on posted/ evident. We decided just to pitch in the edge of the hill near the llamas. On pulling our tent out, we were approached by a man asking if we spoke Polish. He then continued to say that it was going to be very loud and if we wanted to pitch in that location we shouldn’t complain about the noise. We decided to get back in our van and drive round looking for another location. We drove onto the large field to be greeted by grown men dragging each other in dinghies, tents full of beer kegs and all round shouting and screaming. I’d be well up for this if I had gone to a festival, but I hadn’t. I had booked a quiet weekend away with my family at a family friendly campsite (as advertised). After driving round to find a quiet location and having no idea who to approach to ask, we decided to head home. For us it was a wasted day, and a shame as we were looking forward to this trip.

A aimé : Views, general set up, easy walk to the village. Good facilities, including showers.

A aimé : We loved the location for the pretty views and forest walk and also closeness to London. The facilities were very good with 2 toilets and showers, as well as a kitchen and fridge. We had a lovely time there.

N'a pas aimé: Lamas roaming freely by the tent, and slightly intimidating our little dog, even though that was very entertaining, but I'm sure the neighbours didn't like the barking

A aimé : Good facilties, peaceful nice area. LOVED staying in amongst the animals - especially the alpacas!

A aimé : When I think there was actually nothing that I didn’t like :) beautiful surroundings great views. My 7 y old is amazed with camping life now and he wants more

A aimé : Facilities were very good. Very open and clean space. Obviously the animals made it even better.

N'a pas aimé: Quite difficult to get to if on a motorbike (they had advised it was motorbike friendly)

A aimé : Very nice scenery with good hikes and very friendly and welcoming with alot of help pitching up and starting the fire.

A aimé : Views and location is great as Beaconsfield is close by which is lovely. The pub is a short footpath away and we will visit next time. Although fairly busy by 10pm was peaceful enough to sleep. You can pitch your tent wherever you like pretty much and park right next to your tent. We'd definitely stay again and enjoy a pub walk and meal with the pup!

N'a pas aimé: We didn't get to see the facilities as main campsite was hired out for a private event but we were located in an alternative field which had water and a loo - what more do you need for 1 night? So no complaints here!

Is it okay to check that 6/10 is correct for the overall? Absolutely no problem at all if so, it’s just usually guest would score a 6 when they haven’t enjoyed there stay as much as it seems you may have? All the best either way.
