A aimé Really nice site with stunning views and the owner and her children are exceptionally friendly. The facilities were always clean and well stocked. We loved the showers, having the separate room within the cubicle as such for drying and dressing is something we love and not many sites have this. I’m not going to put it as a dislike but more of a if we could recommend something - maybe a couple more toilets as there is only two there’s queues (specially first thing in the morning when you end up busting) and maybe some gravel or something just in the entrance part as it did get quick muddy and slippery once it had rained and cars/vans had driven over it.

A aimé Non electric pitches are large and well outlined. Portaloos up in the none electric bit with more “permanent” facilities by the main entrance, all very clean what we used.

N'a pas aimé Noisy at night, non electric pitches on a slant, sadly had to drive to a different lake as the main lake had nearly dried out and others weren’t “putting out”

A aimé Lovely small quiet site, pub looked lovely but was too busy for us (great for the pub though!) Toilets on site too which not many pub stop overs seem to have. Went for a walk in the wood across the road which has some cools things to see/find in it. Very dark at night which I loved and also hundreds of bats which a highlight for me as I adore them!

N'a pas aimé Light in the toilets, no one knew how to turn the lights on and the one person that did could only get them to stay on for 10 seconds so was very difficult to go to the toilet, even harder with and autistic child BUT they were clean!

A aimé Really stunning rural location and the lake is excellent. Toilets/showers were always clean and hot. Staff super friendly too.

N'a pas aimé It is very tight, I had to wake someone up to move their car so we could get the caravan out to go home. I wouldn’t return in high season due to this. Unfortunately we was pitched next to a horrible group who’s dog kept escaping and growling at us in the dark when going to the toilet and making a mess everywhere, then sat outside screaming and shouting on the phone in the middle of the night - this is nothing to do with the site however just what we disliked while there.

A aimé Lots of activities (cost more), really friendly throughout the site (other than on reception), overall friendly park - lots of friendly people staying there Entertainment was good if you manage to get a table

N'a pas aimé Horrendous pitch, caravan bottomed out multiple times getting it onto the pitch as such a steep hill up onto The pitch, really needs smoothing out, we couldn’t move because it was fully booked even thought we could count 30 empty pitches around us including next to our friends who we asked to be next to. Showers always cold, toilets always full of diarrhoea and toilet paper, complained multiple times and told every time that someone was up there cleaning it now but never was done. The activities are pretty expensive and it does add up when you’ve got more than one child. Didn’t manage to swim more than once and had to argue with staff to get in because they messed the booking up then told us the wrong time to come back again, twice. Very basic pool but not enough changing facilities and the showers were just dripping so couldn’t get washed, the floors where grim, everyone was walking around the poolside with muddy shoes then you walked through it all barefoot to get into the pool. Not enough seating/tables in the entertainment so if you’re not there queuing before 5:30pm when it opens you can’t get a table. No options for late check out

A aimé All of the toilet/shower blocks where open so there was always plenty of toilets/showers. The water was always hot and apart from on one occasion they where always clean. We like walking into the woods and to the river. Our positioning with the other family we went with was really good too, we had out tents facing each other with a small space to gather in the middle. There was an enjoyable atmosphere too due to the jubilee weekend. The pitches are a good size and flat on a whole and the warden is a lovely lady.

N'a pas aimé The washing up facilities are outside so you do get soaked if it rains plus they are so low you have back ache after even for someone who’s short like me. It’s a shame access to the rope swings and plane crash have been fenced off we used to enjoy going into the woods to find them, although this probably isn’t the campsites faults.

Réponse du gestionnaire : The area was fenced off temporarily as concerts were due to take place, however the plane was accessible by walking through one of the non-electric fields. As you have been before it is a shame you will not come again due to the temporary fences.

A aimé Lovely views and nice clean toilets and showers, yes the toilets are a little small but they're there and they're clean so you can't complain! Shower was lovely and hot. A few people have commented on the sinks in the washing up area being low however I preferred it as it was a more comfortable position for me! Staff where very friendly too

N'a pas aimé The only bad thing I could say was that the farmers on one of the nights where really annoying driving up and down but that's not the sites fault.

A aimé The location of the site is excellent with some lovely walks which the children really enjoyed exploring the forest and walking down to the seafront. The new shower block in the touring field is a good standard and always clean.

N'a pas aimé The main toilet block next to the touring field was usually pretty dirty so we avoided it. The field itself isn't very flat and they had recently cut the grass and left it, which drove us and our hay-fever nuts, the amount of times we had to sweep our tent out a day got a bit tedious. It says there is soft play, an arcade, entertainment and swimming pool, we didn't go in the swimming pool at is would have cost us £20 for an hour in a busy rectangle pool. The soft play is about the size of a box room and is basicly just padded floor and walls with a few foam blocks, it does have a height limit which isn't enforced by staff or parents so there was a group of older children in there fighting so couldn't let my toddler go and play. The arcade was OK when it wasn't littered with rubbish. There is no children's entertainment whatsoever and there is no entertainment during the week. There is a park although it is dated and falling apart and again there are older unsupervised children running around causing trouble my little one (2) got knocked off the ramp before I could even grab him by someone fighting. There was a large group who decided it was a good idea to play music and sing until sunrise, we was given a number for security but they never answered the phones despite trying for multiple hours so they may aswell not be there.

A aimé The camping fields are massive and you can choose where you want to pitch we had lots of privacy due to everyine being so spread out, facilities currently going through a revamp and you can see that they are going to be very nice but still being built. However there's a toilet a shower and washing up facilities so it doesn't matter! We got half price off of entry to the hop farm family park as we where camping in we loved it the kids enjoyed it too yes you have to pay entry and then but tokens to do anything but you pay a couple of pounds to get in which includes crazy golf soft play the park the animals and a museum then you buy tokens for the other attractions. We will be coming back.
