Gorgeous views, lovely new shower/toilet block in grouse camping field, different food nights we had pizza it was lovely, the bar was great also

The only thing I can think of is that the shop is closed on a Tuesday, but everyone needs a rest 😄

Beautiful sit. Good location. Great facilities. Showers good. Pizza place on site a bonus as came back from walking the hills starving, had lovely pizzas to end the day. The staff were very helpful and polite.

We stopped at Newbold in August 2025. I took my son walking up Kinder Scout which I’ve done since I was 15. I was last at this campsite about 10 years ago and the improvements are incredible new facilities mean having a shower is now pleasant and the addition of food most nights makes it well worth the stay. We had fish & chips one night and pizza the next can’t fault the food in any way. Hospitality in the reception and the cafe/bar were great well done to the team. Also free WiFi 😉

If anything and being picky, No electricity but when I stop here I’m happy to have none because we’re walking most the day.and it’s good to get away from things.

The location was beautiful. Having a Cafe/Bar and General Store were really convenient. Pizza Night made it a great experience. Everyone respected the ‘quiet after 10’ rule which made for a peaceful stay.

Location has always been good. The facilities have been much improved over the years.

Tiny bit pricey. Worth paying for the location and facilities and they’ve clearly invested.

Great location for hiking paths.
The new toilet block was well maintained and serviced.
The cafe served excellent food.
Some themed nights for pizzas etc.
Child friendly.
Team went above and beyond as my daughter left her camera behind. Posted to us the following day.
Pub across the road seems to have a good menu and some draft beers.

Great facilities, family friendly site. I stayed with my friend to do a walk, however will definitely return with my kids!
Well stocked bar and kitchen on site, so suits for those let set ups and lazy mornings!
Well placed for walks up Mam Tor and Kinder Scout, Nags head is a great pub just 20 yards from the site

Fantastic location for a relaxed weekend break or a full on walking weekend.

Facilities on site are great with a new toilet and shower block this year and an on site
Cafe / Bar. Outdoor grill is perfect after a day of walking this week we had Edale chicken and Saturday was pizza on the outdoor pizza oven.

Location for walking in the Peak District is perfect, local railway station, couple of pubs that do great food also available locally or just relax and enjoy the scenary

Already booked for later this year and will be back in 2026 once the dates become available.

Nothing to dislike at the site or location 👍
