Great campsite,everything is within reach on foot,shops,cafe,pub and hiking trails particularly the pennine way and kinder scout.we pulled up,got the tent pitched and didn't use the car again untill it was home time,perfect.

Old toilet block needs sorting

Beautiful scenery, great vibe, relaxed atmosphere, lovely looking bar and cafe, handy pizza stall and local to the pub. Liked that cars parked at the side so tents could be together with friends.

Toilets had no ventilation and not kept tidy. It’s under minded the lovely decor. Toilet roll ran out on Friday by 8.30pm. Hooks or shelves for towels/toothbrushes win the bathroom areas would be helpful.

Staff are super friendly and all round amazing! By far one of the best camp sites we’ve stayed at. It’s amazing to see that every staff member gives it their all so credit to all the staff and the owners.

Pizza’s are superb, would recommend you book in advance as they sell out. Food is superb and not over priced.

Location is fantastic, right at the start of the pennine way. It even has a little general store.

What I would like to say is a huge thank you to the staff for all their efforts.

I’ve marked the cleanliness as a 9 not because they don’t do a stellar job cleaning, it’s because of the minority of guests that don’t cars for other people or other peoples property. These may be a select few, but they really do spoil it for the rest of the people staying, not just here but anywhere! Please have some respect and treat it how you would expect your house to be treated. Always remember, someone has to clean the mess up because you didn’t!!

Great site, in a super location. Well maintained, quiet at night, good level pitches. Good toilets and showers. Expensive but good cafe, with WiFi available. Little shop also handy.

A few very minor gripes - toilets/ showers not always the cleanest. Could have used some more hooks and shelves in the showers. Loved the amount of plug sockets available but some USB sockets would be helpful too. I may have just not found it, but a kitchen with kettle/ fridge/ microwave would be very appreciated.

Campervan Pitches could be a bit wider.

Location

Having to wait to wash your hands due to people brushing their teeth in the basins - would be useful to have some handwash facilities in the new block for this purpose.

Fantastic facilities - brand new. Very clean and very friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.
