Stunning location within an apple orchard. Really friendly hosts who also ran the small bar with (probably) the best cheese toastie in Wales. The cider is brilliant, too.
Did I mention the toilet and shower block? It’s awesome. Spotless and well-stocked with volcanic hot water.
The teens had plenty of field and river to explore, and with a charging station, (and small fridge/freezer) avoided meltdowns…
I can highly recommend the Four Waterfalls walk if you’ve got a lot of excess energy to burn. (Four hours+ Bring your trunks and water shoes (as well as all the usual gear) for a very necessary jump & dunk, this isn’t called a challenging hike without reason)
There’s a flat-walk local Co-op 4km away to top up.
Talking to folk, this site has been popular for many years, and the recent change of ownership has been very well received. We can see why. Loved it.

Standards have dropped bathroom cleanliness definitely not to standard of previous years and general maintenance not great either

This was our second time camping here. We had the absolute best time. Hosts were so kind, welcoming and helpful. The site is so great, with the orchard trees providing plenty of privacy. Great, clean bathrooms and showers. So fun to sit at the taproom and have a delicious pint. Really love this spot and can't wait to come back.

New fresh facilities. Very clean, well stocked and easy to use. The beer and cider was lovely and enjoyed by all of us. The host was welcoming, attentive and made it a great stay.

This is a small but beautiful site a few miles outside Talgarth in the Black Mountains of South Wales.
The manager Adrian was helpful in the booking process and we changed our dates without fuss.
The site is small, with little pitches (some slightly bigger) in an apple orchard, in the shadow of gentle mountains. The air is fresh (occasional farm smell!) and it is blissfully quiet. Washrooms were clean and there is a place to charge phones. Plenty of fire pits with wood available and even a pizza oven. There is a bar selling their own beer and a few hot snacks.
There is walking, cycling, canoeing, horse riding, climbing and freshwater swimming nearby. But some guests just soaked up the atmosphere on site from a horizontal position!
So if you want a simple and lovely place to relax or a base for your Welsh outdoor activities, this is highly recommended.

Nice flat pitches separated out by trees and apple trees. Only a small site. Facilities were very clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. No cars on site but not too far to walk and wheelbarrows on hand for transporting larger loads. I didn't go to the tap room but will be back!

In the morning, cows broke through the fence onto the site. They were swiftly herded on, but it was quite dramatic!

Beautiful location with wonderful spacious pitches surrounded by nature.
Clean modern showers and toilets.
The tap house is also a wonderful treat.
