A nice quiet place to get away from it all. Facilities old but clean and in good order.

A pity the pub was shut on Sunday evenings and all day Monday

Friendly, nice and quiet, pub does good food and drink.

Slightly tight on space. One of the details was a kids play area in the pub - however this has been removed so ended up having to drive to a few local areas.

Lovely welcome and quickly taken to pitch.

Food was excellent in the pub itself and staff were very helpful.

Very clean site, peaceful and well maintained.

It was a really lovely little campsite we had a nice size pitch it was quiet and peaceful lovely walk around the fields for the dog
The lady behind the bar even shared her chicken dinner with our dog.

Its not really a dislike just unfortunately due to staff shortage the pub was only open 12 til 3 and 6 til 9 ish which was a shame as it was 32 degrees and could have sat there all day drinking cold cider which to be fair I made the last one last til 430 it's was cooler I the shade of the garden than a motorhome really sweet place 😀

The host was fantastic, nothing was to much trouble. Site was very clean and well kept. Walking distance to the pub, fantastic food. Will definitely be going back

Wish I stayed longer

Nice and small so got to know other campers & children found others to play with. Relaxed atmosphere

Seems like they are missing a trick with the pub. It took us longer than planned to set up when we arrived. We went into the restaurant at 20:10 to eat to be told they’d stopped serving food at 20:00. We should have checked before have but would also have been nice to be told on check in what time they were closing the kitchen. We then had unhook the van and drive to find a takeaway as there is no shops / other pubs in walking distance.
Also, I’m surprised there wasn’t a discount to eat in the pub to incentivise campers. Or how about opening for breakfast - just bacon & sausage baps etc. Or even just stocking a few basic items to buy.

Our pitch was under a tree. We won’t be taking one like that again. The tent was covered in sap which won’t come off and so much bird poo it’s unbelievable.

The facilities were very basic. The toilets were cleaned but needed doing more frequently as only 2 ladies toilets for the site and 3 showers. There was a little blood on the back of one of the toilet doors that stayed there for the duration. The lights in the showers were not on during the day making it a little tricky to see what you were doing.

Due to the location you can hear the Gatwick planes throughout the night. Some may enjoy seeing these but was a little noisy at night.

Unfortunately not a site we’ll be returning to. Could be great with a few small tweaks.

Liked everything about this site. The owner made us feel very welcome both on the site and in the pub. The site and facilities were very well kept and clean at all times. We ate in the pub on the saturday evening and the food was excellent. The service was also spot on. Nothing was a problem. We will be visiting afain.
