Was greeted warmly by Rob and he said 'pitch where you like ' So we pitched under a beautiful oak tree. Our first time here and love the vibe the place has even though i thought he had a Sunderland accent ( OOOPs ) A bit like asking me if i'm a Brummy.
Sorry Rob ;) All the pitches were flat with plenty of hooks ups. Although we didn't need hook up due to us using solar power and eco flow power bank,

The dog walking area was perfect for our Jack Russell who loves trodden down grass paths , it was also nice to see a wildlife area at the centre of the dog walking area ( note to other dog owners ) just because the wild path is just that ! 'WILD' You still have to pick up your little fluffy poodle Doodle's crap up ! I filled two bags with dog poo Why ? because some people can't be bothered ! Then moan about it !

Plenty of beautiful walks, toilets and showers fine. Absolutely love the pub, steeped in history if you bother to look , fine selection of food and beer.

We shall definately be returning next year

For you moaners who moan about noise from jets and passing traffic , I hear Elon Musk may be doing trips to the Moon soon.

Two things we disliked..
I was expecting to wake up to see herds of majestic Wildebeest sweeping past our trailer tent. So perhaps next year you could get some ;)

Totally annoyed that you provide a dog walking field and people are to lazy to use it.
Preferring to let their dogs Pi55 where children play

The campsite is pretty, with trees and spacious pitches and very level. Liked the dog walking field. The food at the pub was delicious and very reasonably priced. The campsite owner and his wife were very nice.

It was a bit noisy at times with the planes.

The owner was really nice, pleasent and didn't stop working. We didn't eat out but the food that was being served looked lovely, there is a dog walking field, (track goes round a field) but was ideal for the dogs

Only thing I would say is one of the showers didn't have a attachment on it but, but that's all

The landlord was very helpful and welcoming. The pitches were very pleasant. The pub had good beer and food and the campers were all well behaved during our stay there.
The fresh water tap was good with an extension pipe to avoid spills and splashes.
The pitches are level

The toilet and shower block could have been better and one shower was not really sufficient for a site that lists 32 pitches. The gents toilets had not light or working hand dryer and there were no paper towels either. The ladies toilets were ok.
The dustbins weren't labelled and there didn't appear to be any recycling for bottles and plastic.
I felt that £5 per night extra for electric was a bit steep

Being behind the pub, great meal & friendly welcome!

Not keen on paying 20p for a shower, after spending £35 for a site with no electric. Showered in the dark, as the electric appeared to be turned off over night?

Good location for what we wanted to do.
Showers were good although need some tlc. Toilets only 2 ladies which during the bank holiday weekend caused issues.

Electrics were not very safe looking and it tripped out over bank holiday weekend.
Very cramped over the bank holiday weekend not much room.
Video of campsite was not as accurate now.

Lovely friendly site, as a solo female I felt safe. Toilets and showers clean. Had a lovely Sunday lunch at pub with an amazing pudding. Landlord and landlady very nice and helpful
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely return.

It’s a nice campsite, and he pub was great

I couldn’t get the shower to work (but I think that was my old pound coins), the Tolu lets me showers were a bit dyed.

Lovely small campsite. The pub has a high standard of food and was very welcoming.
