Liked the relaxed, friendly feel of this site.
Despite the bad weather the kids had great fun making new friends & because of the layout its wasn't a problem keeping our eye on the kids.
I was a little worried when I read there were only 3 showers but we never had any problems getting in to use the showers & toilets were clean.
Would we go back? YES, we would.

The site had quite possibly the worst toilet and shower facilities I have ever experienced. I have been to several festivals and the toilets there were by far superior. We were offered a pitch on a corner of the road, opposite the bins and toilets. The smell was of rancid food and waste. I managed to persuade the man at the site to move us. We were initially offered a pitch that he had offered someone else. He said they had started to pitch and then left so he wasn’t sure if they were coming back. I guessed not if they had been to the toilets.
Rather than risk them coming back I asked for another pitch. It was on a dry mud patch but as we had already decided we would leave in the morning and not stay the 2 nights as planned and paid for, it would suffice. We just hoped it wouldn’t rain.
The site is crammed, no pitch had 4 m between it and another one. There were a lot of unhappy campers, appalled at the poor standard of the facilities, and the site not living up to its description on the website.

The hosts were very welcoming. The facilities were well maintained and the pub served amazing food.

Nice friendly site. Good size pitches. Electric options available. Great food at the pub. Toilets and showers reasonably clean.

Nice flat pitch. All amenities were available on site. Good proximity to adjoining pub, with good food. An excellent circular walk nearby.

Pub opening times were short, possibly due to shortage of staff.

Location

Really disappointed. The site is fine but the facilities are not matching the cost. Only one plug in the washing up area. No idea where the drinking water was. If it was the tap next to the washing up then I am relieved I missed the cholera outbreak. The gents lacked a lock for two days so there was only one toilet. I learned some marvellous balancing skills trying to wash without anywhere to put anything.

Other than a very brief “your pitch is there” never interacted with the staff.

Nice welcome and pitch size was unmarked and larger than advertised.

False advertising. Pitch up.com describes the site as having a motorhome service point. There is nothing of the sort. There is a hosepipe for water but nothing else and no where for grey waste.
