Park Farm Holiday Park is named top-selling site in south Wales by Pitchup.com

Fév 12 2015 Posté par Samantha Marsh

Park Farm Holiday Park in Tenby, south Wales has been named by Pitchup.com as its top-selling site for south Wales for 2014.

The figures, compiled from Pitchup.com’s bookings for 1,050 camping and caravan sites throughout the UK and Europe, show Park Farm led the way for visitors to south Wales in 2014, bringing an impressive 259 bookings to the region, 14% ahead of its nearest competitor. Early bookings for 2015 are showing that the site is set to maintain the momentum.

Dan Yates, founder of outdoor accommodation specialist Pitchup.com, commented: “South Wales attracted 1.1m searches in 2014 and is a very strong destination for our client base.  In addition to being a popular location for bookings, Wales also recently topped our league table of user ratings league table, coming top in 6 of 8 categories and leaving the neighbouring English sites in the shade.  The country really impressed visitors with key areas including location, cleanliness and facilities.  Most of our visitors are drawn to Wales by its spectacular scenery, adrenaline activities and great beaches.  Park Farm Holiday Park is ideally located for all of this and contrary to media impressions of glamping being the fashionable choice, it is the site’s focus on traditional camping over glamping that has won it the number one spot.”

Park Farm Holiday Park is the closest holiday park to Manorbier beach, an award-winning and popular spot for locals and holidaymakers.  With a direct footpath from the site to the beach it’s perfect for visitors.  Younger visitors will enjoy the theme parks of Folly Farm and Heatherton and also the roaringly good Dinosaur Park.  The town of Tenby and various castles are enough to keep the adults entertained.  Park Farm itself is set within 25 acres of wooded countryside.  There are pitches for tourers, tents and motorhomes with communal facilities including washrooms and a launderette.

Commenting on their success, Andrew Clunies-Ross of Park Farm Holiday Park, said: “It’s great news to hear we are the best-selling site for south Wales in 2014.  It’s been a pleasure working with Pitchup.com.  Their profile and vast number of clients enables us to promote our site to a much wider audience.  We hope this accolade will help drive more bookings to our park from those who’ve not been before, selecting us on the back of our popularity.”
