History fans could call into Armoury Towers in Macclesfield (10 minutes) to ogle over a Grade I-listed building… meanwhile, anyone who wants some more action will be well-set with a trip to Alton Towers (40 minutes) or closer by, the Cloudside Shooting Grounds (15 minutes) for some clay pigeon shooting.
