A aimé : Very warm informative welcome from reception.
Stayed in the camping field which was spacious.
Good facilities on site
Walking distance to Castle Howard which is definitely worth a visit
Great site for dark skies

A aimé : Location. Electric pitch was a great size .site was in a great setting. Facilities were great plenty of cold taps around to fill up water.couldnt find anything bad about this site .hopefully WiFi will become a addition to a great site

N'a pas aimé: Amenities, toilet & shower facilities, were insufficient for number of pitches. The facilities were also dated, small & in need of a deep clean or indeed a refurb.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Thank you for your comments. We're pleased you enjoyed your visit but naturally disappointed that you wouldn't return. May Day Bank Holiday weekend and half term are busy on all campsites as it is really the first time of the year that families can escape to the great outdoors with (hopefully) warmer weather. This naturally means that the facilities are in greater demand than usual. As you will read in other reviews our cleaning team usually do a great job so we apologise if you found them lacking.

A aimé : Location, good facilities, friendly and helpful staff, even the weather was good!! I was originally booked in for 4 nights, this was an additional night as I wanted to stay a bit long, so 5 nights in total.

N'a pas aimé: Pitch I was on was very baron with hardly any grass. Very dusty too so the tent was always dirty on the floor as it got trailed in. Also tent caked in tree sap and bird muck due to location of pitch being under trees. Didn't spoil the break though.

We have had some beautiful, rain-free weeks recently haven't we but, unfortunatley, this does mean that the ground has been exceptionally dry and dusty everywhere. Now that we've had some rain this situation should improve. Thank you for taking the time to write your review. It is good to hear that you will return to Lakeside.

A aimé : The place was well kept. The facilities were nice and clean. The park was easy to navigate, and the staff were lovely and friendly.

N'a pas aimé: The view wasn't as stated in the images. It's just tree's.
