A aimé Beautiful location with lovely views and pretty easy access to nearby villages and towns. Owner was super friendly when greeting us upon arrival and gave us recommendations for where to eat.

A aimé I don't normally give reviews but I think this site needs one. The location was very nice and had a large field with some more space tucked away around the corner by the side of the river. I also liked the the fact that we didn't have to leave until 4pm on the day of departure.

Unfortunately that's all the praise I can really give. The place was very hard to find. There was one signpost - an amateurish black painted sign on a wood background making it almost impossible to see in the day and impossible at night. The entrance to the site/field was a bumpy and stony dust path.

The field itself was unkempt and the grass long. There was only one tap and a sink producing running water - right up at the top end of the field. There were no showers or toilet block/cubicles. What they did have were four portaloos next to each other and they were horrendous.

I really wouldn't want my dog to do his business in them, they were vile. The 'flush' basically consisted of pushing the excrement down into a bigger bowl at the bottom of the toilet but still very much in view. Unfortunately at times, the 'flush' wasn't strong enough and the excrement and bloody period products just remained in the upper part of the toilet itself (inches away from the seat!) The smell was revolting. There was no privacy either as you could very clearly hear the person next to you doing their business.

There were toilet facilities in the glamping field but the farmer/owner made it clear, albeit politely, that this field was put of bounds to those who were not glamping!

There were no basic rules enforced as there was nobody there to enforce them. The farmer would come round in his vehicle every now and then. People were playing music and lighting fires into the middle of the night, which is fine if that's what you want.

N'a pas aimé The portaloos were hellish. Revolting, stinking and the smell was overwhelming.

A aimé Great location, chilled relaxing site. Ideal for water based activities & wider visiting the area.

N'a pas aimé Shame there is no showers (but the river was ideal to swim & bathe in & limited toilets ( but I was there on busy bank holiday weekend so that’s understandable)

Could do with a few extra toilets for/nearer the riverbank pitches. But this is only a small minor!
