What customers say
This scenic, tranquil riverside spot boasts ample space and wildlife. The owner is often lauded for their friendly, helpful nature. While the rustic "wild camping" vibe is a hit, the absence of showers for non-glampers and the state of the portaloos are recurring issues, especially for longer trips or families. River access for activities like paddleboarding is a major plus.

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked The location next to the river is a massive draw. its amazing. its peaceful and beautiful. the strech along the river where people camp is long enough but people do need to be considerate. easy access to the river for swimming and paddleboarding which we did. Theres a sink and tap for washing up and drinking which is great. its a very back to basic campsite.
Disliked The one thing that would make this place a 10 for me is somwhere to shower and the portaloos are ok. good quality tissue and plenty of it but sometimes the smell but what do you expect with portaloos. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED FIRES. due to the dryness of the soundings so just keep that in mind.

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Idyllic location right next to the river Wye with easy access. Perfect for dogs who like to swim. We were by ourselves for one night and it was bliss of you like wild or nearly wild camping.
Porta loos are the same every where so it isn't a gripe but a necessary evil, luckily we were in a campervan with our own toilet so no issues.
Disliked Nothing
