Me gustó As usual we had a really good stay at Pennine view. Staff are really nice and friendly, the facilities spotless. The Engine Shed is a great place to go in the evenings.

Me gustó Good pitch and facilitues. The owners are very pleasant and helpful. We took our bikes and enjoyed cycling in some of the quiet lanes. There is a pub about 1 1/2 miles away , The Sun Inn, they serve food which looks quite good and the prices are reasonable.

Me gustó Great pitch and really good for families. Good childrens play area. There are also some really nice picnic spots by the river.

No me gustó Bar in the Engine shed could do with being a bit bigger. At busy times it can take a while to get a drink.

Me gustó Nice big pitch and plenty of open space on the site. The views are amazing. The toilets and showers are together as a small self contained suite. The only problem is that you walk into it directly from the path outside and this can lead to a bit of grass etc on the floor . There are squeegees outside so you can just sweep it out or even better the last to use it should do this. The bar is quite nice , plenty of tables and there is an outside seating area. Very nice well kept site and we would vidit again.

No me gustó Little bit of noise from children playing late at night about 10ish. This was just a group in tents behind the walkers cabins.

No me gustó The pitch wasnt wide enough to put our awning up as it would have gone onto the grass and they ask that awnings are kept off the grass. The Elsan unit was blocked up and it took a couple of days for it to be cleared. An example of people putting the wrong things in it.

Me gustó This was our 2nd stay at Whitemead and it didn't disapoint . The site is well laid out and very clean, the facilities were spotless . The best part is the pool and steam room , even if its a bad weather day this is somewhere that you can go. The surrounding area is a great place to go walking and cycling, watch out for the wild boar and deer. Great site highly reccomend

Me gustó We have stayed here 3 times now and every time has been really good. The Engine Shed bar is well worth a visit. There is a childrens play area which is laid out well. The facilities are spotless , also all the staff are very friendly. The guys who look after the grounds work very hard to keep the place looking good. All in all a very good site, we have already booked for next Easter.

Me gustó This is a great site, very popular so you need to book in advance. There are some great walks in the area especially the viaduct walk, also great for cycling. The bar on site , The Engine Shed , serves good beer and there is also a van that serves food. all in all a very good site that i can highly recommend.

Me gustó Leisure facilities were excellent. The bar area was very nice but sometimes the service was a bit slow. We went to the Blues Brothers tribute act which was really good and very good value for money.

No me gustó I feel there needs to be a motorhome service point.

No me gustó Our pitch was waterlogged , I looked for a less wet pitch but they were all the same. I know it's been very wet in the area but the pitches need to be better than this, other sites we've been to in similar weather manage to cope . Our shoes were covered in mud which was being walked into our motorhome, and we couldn't walk our dog without him getting covered in mud. The hardstanding pitches that we used need much much more gravel.

Me gustó Beautiful location right by the side of the river, ideal for walking with the dog. Toilet and shower area also spotless. The pub next door serves good food at a reasonable price and has a good selection of beers.

Me gustó Excellent clean site, great for walking and cycling. The walk along the viaduct trail is awesome this leads on to the coast to coast walk. There are a couple of spots by the river that are nice picnic spots . We went into Kirkby Stephen where there are some interesting antique shops and also some good pubs that serve food, the pubs we visited are also dog friendly.

Me gustó Very clean and well looked after site. The area is great for walking and cycling .the viaduct walk is a must and if you are feeling energetic go on the coast to coast road. The views are amazing. There are some good pubs In Kirkby Stephen, . To sum up it was a really enjoyable stay and we will be back there soon.

Me gustó Great for walking the dog and cycling, the pub next door was very nice. There is a washing machine for the use if guests , but could do with having a dryer as well.

Me gustó Our grandchildren loved the playground, we loved the location ,easy to find, pub and shop nearby. Showers were roomy and clean.
