Traducir (A través del Traductor Google)Me gustó: We decided on Derbyshire for our seasonal break with friends in our campervan. This park is between two villages, and is very quiet. The site itself is near to the main road, but we did not hear traffic, and next to a wood. Very peaceful, lovely views and not overlooked by others on the park at this time of the year. The facilities were great too - with hot showers, clean toilets and washing up facilities, and conveniently located waste disposal on the site. The shop is great too! And while there are bus stops outside the site, we found Uber an ideal way to get to nearby Ripley.

No me gustó: Suggestion possibly some bath mats and where the hot tub area was it could have been kept a bit more clean, understandable it may be harder maintain with it being outside.

Thank you for the comments regarding mats we will look into this and sorry about the outside we do tidy frequently but the weather is not always kind often the outside areas do revert back to being untidy, we keep the grounds surrounding the lodges as natural woodland, we will continue to think of ways to resolve this.

Sold Calor gas in shop - good price. Indian takeaway van came NYE excellent food 10 mins walk to 2 local pubs in Riddings. A nice couple of daysNo me gustó: Some Sloping pitches - need wedges and mats to get off if muddy

The grounds have been seasonally wet with the rain we had early December which was relentless please be reassured that the grass areas recover and dry very quickly.

Traducir (A través del Traductor Google)Me gustó: Lovely views from the site over the valley, friendly team on arrival, toilets and showers clean and warm during winter. Pubs with walking distances, great walks on the doorstep. Fully serviced pitch was good and flat.
No me gustó: I can imagine the road way way would be a bit muddy when it’s wet, the ramp up to the easy access men’s toilets and showers can be treacherous when it’s wet and icey.

Amenities block was warm and clean considering the rain was relentless. We had to change dates for our short visit, so had just an electric hardstanding. Water was close by so not an issue.
Ideal location for exploring. We visited Matlock and Bakewell.No me gustó: . The one way road was very narrow and uneven and parking up the caravan was tricky as we had no choice but to go on the tent patch, to reverse onto our pitch. That created a lot of mud and mess.Thankfully there were no tents. The pitch wasn't level at all and could have done with been tidier. There was nowhere to dispose of grey waste as drains were blocked. It was chucked into the nearby hedge!
The old amenities block was quite smelly and really needs to come down. Generally, it needs to be tidied up and pitches levelled better. Those who camp, would have a nightmare as the field is on a slope. Not great at all.

We are sorry that you found your stay disappointing and see that you will not visit us again in the future.
The camping fields are on a slope but not all the areas are bookable pitches. The pitches just in front of where your caravan was pitched are not in commission and cannot be booked by guests. There is a grey waste grid by the reception and we would encourage guests to use this for disposal of grey waste and will make this clearer to all in the future.
