Our pitch was low down the field and we found the walk to the toilet block by the entrance quite steep

Sorry to hear that you found it difficult to access the toilet we have only just become aware and would have moved you closer if you made us aware during your stay.
In answer to the pot wash area we are planning to put this area under cover in the near future.

We do not have WIFI on site this is not advertised or charged for and we apologise that you felt we were being rude this was not our intention.
The housekeeping have been made aware that the lodge was not as clean as you expected but we were unable to give them feedback regarding any specific issues with cleanliness and were not made aware of any issues whilst you were on site. We do pride ourselves with high standards and are sorry on this occasion you were disappointed.

Traducir (A través del Traductor Google)Me gustó: Location very nice; rural but not too far from facilities/shops. Fabulous wildlife - we were met by a baby osprey or young falcon. The site’s also not very big, which we really liked - nice number of spaces. The toilet /shower block is a portacabin but very warm, very clean and modern. Price was reasonable. There’s a small children’s play area at the bottom of the field.
No me gustó: The site does need a bit of TLC. The tracks and pitches need more gravel. They’re a little neglected. The elsan point was very unhygienic. There are no fully serviced pitches and the waste water is outside the campsite in the car park, up a very steep hill beyond reception. Washing up is outside and not undercover; fine in summer but not so great in the winter.
Our primary issue however was that we’d paid for a week in advance, but due to a family crisis, we needed to leave two days early. We gave several days notice, and asked if we might have a credit, if a refund wasn’t possible, as we were planning to come back to the area soon. The response was totally unhelpful; a refund was apparently not possible, and a credit for the two nights we had to cut shut was also not forthcoming as it was apparently “too difficult”.

We are sorry that you were disappointed with your stay and see that you wont be returning to us in the future but glad you found enjoyment with the wild life on site.
We were aware that you would be leaving early and yes it is difficult to break a stay up. You did call to see us and then called late one evening the emergency on call phone, we were unable to help at this point as the office was closed but agreed that you come see us in the morning which you did not do so we were unable to help you further at this point.
We are sorry if there was any confusion.
We note your comments about the fully serviced pitches we do have both fully serviced and hard standing pitches onsite.
