Camping Zumaia

Me gustó The young man who served us in the cafe on the evening we arrived.

The very nice lady who dealt with us the day after we arrived.

The facilities were very clean and modern and well maintained. To their credit they fully refunded our payment and were very apologetic for the chaos of the previous day.

No me gustó The location is not particularly attractive surrounded by an industrial estate and next to a water treatment plant.

Beware the very high speed ramp under the bridge on arrival which damaged our motor mover.

The pitches are ok for motor homes and campers but if you have a twin axel caravan it is very very tight and without a mover, as stated ours was taken out by the speed ramp you have little chance of getting on to a pitch. All pitches are very close to each other so if you enjoy dinner with other campers you’re in luck.

We booked a fully serviced XL pitch which was given to someone else and then a complete debacle ensued. We left the next day having spent the night on a piece of grass opposite the toilet block. To the Fellow Englishman who we allowed to remain on our booked pitch so as not to inconvenience him and who could not even muster a “Thank you” I say Bon Voyage we found a perfect site an hour down the road.

Unfortunately, an operational failure occurred on this occasion, and we fully understand the disappointment and frustration this caused you. As you mentioned, we refunded the full cost of your stay and did our utmost to find a temporary solution while we resolved the issue.

We sincerely appreciate your kind words about our team, especially regarding the staff members who assisted you during your stay. We will make sure to pass your comments on to them.

We are also pleased to hear that you found our facilities clean, modern, and well-maintained.

Regarding the access road and the surrounding area, we appreciate your feedback. Although the route to the campsite passes through an industrial zone, many guests choose us for our proximity to Zumaia, the Flysch coast, and the surrounding natural landscape—which can be reached via a pleasant walk along the riverbank, avoiding the industrial area entirely.

Once again, we deeply regret the booking error and the inconvenience caused. We appreciate the understanding you showed at the time and wish you many enjoyable trips in the future.

Nice views from site
Great to be able to walk from site into nearby town (we did this, for a meal)
Lovely smells of jasmine flowerung around site (end of May), which was well kept; enjoyed the sparrows round the plots and birds singing.

Me gustó The showers were lovely ,all kept clean . You can order pasties from the shop at night . Pitch was big . Shop was great to have . Staff friendly.

No me gustó Kids play area wasn't great , maybe better for small kids . 11, 8 and 5 year old didnt fine it good .

No me gustó L'acqua potabile mi è sembrata non troppo gradevole da bere, forse un po' troppo cloro, probabilmente per motivi di sanificazione richiesta nella zona.

Me gustó Sehr sauberer Platz, die Duschen und Toiletten gepflegt und super gereinigt. Die Rezeption ist zuvorkommend und manche sprechen sehr gut deutsch. Alles in allem zu empfehlen

Wat fijn om te lezen dat u tevreden was over uw verblijf en van onze camping heeft genoten.

We begrijpen dat het jammer was dat het zwembad half mei nog niet geopend was. De opening van het zwembad volgt onze seizoensplanning, maar we begrijpen dat het bij mooi weer extra aantrekkelijk zou zijn geweest.

We zijn ook blij dat u genoten heeft van het restaurant. Hoewel het restaurant onafhankelijk van de camping wordt beheerd, geven we uw complimenten graag aan hen door.
