Me gustó Great campsite with good facilities, extremely clean toilets and showers, the toilets did not smell and the owners were there every day ensuring the place was in good condition and the campers had everything they needed. They sell firewood for just £6 which lasted us 2 nights.

Very close to the lake and had a little shop with everything you might want within a 5 minute walk. There are also normal public toilets there if you don't want to use the campsite toilets for whatever reason. The campsite backs onto a river which you can walk in if its shallow.

No lighting near the campsite so you get a really nice dark sky and can see all the stars.

There is a road nearby but it is completely silent at night and quiet during the day anyway so its not a problem.

Very few pitches. There were just 6 tent pitches and a few caravan pitches so the site didn't feel overcrowded.

No me gustó The showers were good, but occasionally the water would come out searing hot or ice cold. I don't know why this was and it only happened twice for a few seconds.

Our pitch (number 6) was on a very slight (almost unnoticeble unless you are laying down looking for it) incline going down towards the river and we didn't notice so had rough sleep the first night so just make sure you orient your sleeping setup that way.

Midges! We didn't have bug spray but the smoke from our fire sort of helped. Not an issue with the campsite at all and can't be helped, just remember they exist in North Wales and bring bug spray/a midge net.

These are just little problems we had, and the fact I'm mentioning them really shows how perfect the site is as 2 of them aren't anything to do with how the site is run but rather nature being nature.

Me gustó The campsite was excellent: friendly hosts, good-sized pitches, large fire pit, beautiful surroundings, and a short walk to a lovely village shop. It was idyllic and I'll definitely return!

No me gustó It would have been good to have a separate sink area so people don't need to brush their teeth in the same sink as they wash dishes.

Me gustó Wonderful campsite, clean, well looked after no nonsense facilities. Beautiful spot right next to the river.

Me gustó The pitches being nicely spaced out
The very friendly and helpful host
The sound of running water from the river

No me gustó It being closer to the road than i realises, but it wasn't an issue in the evening

Me gustó Lovely friendly owners and a beautiful location. No wifi but phone signal was good. Plenty of space between pitches and a wonderful back to nature vibe.

Me gustó Beautifully simple campsite, small and that was a positive!
Compostable toilets were clean and didn't smell at all, followed the rules helps there. Showers were got and spacious enough to use in full.

No me gustó A designated water point, as opposed to the single tap/sink wash area would be appreciated.

Me gustó Level pitches, only a few available so it doesn’t get too crowded, all close to stream. Gets full at weekends.
Well maintained compost toilets and showers, bins to recycle in.
Easy to access from the B road next to the site, half hour walk to Lake Vywrny down farm tracks.
Hosts very helpful with great local knowledge, part of a lovely village community. Nearby shop does hot food.
