Hardstandings were brilliant. The welcome was even better!

Loo/shower could do with being updated even though it was very clean. Price a bit steep for the facilities.

Peaceful site. Lovely views. Woke up to a deer outside the van! Very helpful warden. And a walk to the train, straight into Newcastle

Toilets didn't look appealing but inside spotlessly clean.

The set up and the warden Malcolm was extremely good, we arrived during bad weather with road to campsite closed but after arriving warden helped us get set up and explained all we needed to know.
well placed campsite for touring and local facilities so will be back again.

Gravel pitch, excellent from road to head; standing area large and totally level. Waste water drainage drain appropriately positioned for direct flow into drain. Water at each pitch with adaptor and solar light for nighttime use. Adjacent electric hook up point individual for each pitch. Very helpful warden, nothing too much trouble, welcomed and described all amenities etc. Toilets with shower facilities, elsan waste area, laundry room, good lighting for nighttime use.

No WiFi? This would have been very useful!

Excellent site, very quiet and peaceful.
Showers and toilets OK but in need of refurb, and I think there are plans to build a new block.
Staff very friendly and helpful, great location for exploring the area, would recommend and will definitely look to stay again in the future.

Dated facilities.

Thé location and facilities were excellent. The bar/lounge was inviting. The staff very friendly and professional. An added advantage would have been washer/dryer facilities as the weather in this location can be extreme.

Wifi was poor

Met and assisted by Gordon (site warden) who was excellent and very helpful. Site was in an ideal countryside location. Good fully serviced hard standing pitch.

Although toilet facilities were kept very clean they were very limited in numbers. No disabled access which was a problem for my wife who has mobility issues. Better illumination required especially around the toilet waste disposal area.

We were extremely disappointed. Besides ending up in a construction site, the toilet, shower, sink, and chemical disposal area were filthy, dirty, and poorly maintained. So dirty that we couldn't use any of the facilities. We paid £38.50 for one night with our campervan. The campsite owner's abuse of the booking office was truly scandalous.
