Beautifully kept, tranquil spot with great views & walks. Toilets/showers are modern & clean. Staff are friendly & helpful. Some Wi-Fi & bin point distance issues were raised, but management sorted them. Ideal for families & dog lovers.

Great site not easy to find and avoid low bridge in a motorhome
Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch (large)
Liked Site positioning and facilities were very good
Disliked Needs a directional map to help direct visitors to avoid a very low bridge route to this site as you get lost trying to find this site especially when departing the M73 and getting lost in Cumbernauld

I would never recommend to a tourer, nor will I return. Expensive.
Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch (large)
Liked Showers/toilet blocks were faultless, very clean, modern and comfortable.
I think if you were glamping it'd be gold standard, but half of the amenities were not accessible to tourers. For glampers there was a gorgeous log cabin with full fitted kitchen, dining and lounge areas.
There's a sauna/hot tub - if you can afford the extortionate price tag that comes with it (£15 per person for an hour).
Disliked Touring pitches were clearly an after thought, a very poor location and extremely difficult to access/turn into for a tourer. Camper vans might just about manage but it really isn't a place for touring vans as it's too tight and there's nowhere for a car to be parked if you want any outside space. The "grass" next to each pitch was just a strip of turf. Our pitch was basically on a cliff edge, very dangerous for little ones, particularly as there's an active construction site down the hill which has churned up the grass and broken slabs up top.
Fires/bbqs are prohibited next to pitches and restricted to a certain area, on slabs and in pits provided by them (this is due to fire risks we were told), but there was 1 to go between 6 vans so if someone else was cooking you were totally stuck. You can't use your own firewood/coal either, you have to purchase from site.
Play park consists only of a slide and one swing, yet there was ample space to extend this.
There's no laundry facilities.

Disliked It seemed a bit like a building site in the campsite & it charged as much as camping spots in Loch Ness for example

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. We’re pleased you found our facilities clean and rated our customer service, cleanliness etc. so highly.
We are currently carrying out some landscaping improvements, so there is temporarily some machinery on site. We had positioned this well away from the camping area to minimise any disruption, although we appreciate it may still have been noticeable.
We do feel our pitches offer very good value, particularly with the high standard of our washrooms and facilities available to guests. Naturally, prices can vary considerably between campsites depending on their facilities, location and what is included.
We’re sorry that on this occasion you felt differently, but we appreciate your feedback and hope our ongoing improvements will make the site even better.
Wow campsite with great facilitiesbut communication needs improvement.
Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch (large)
Liked The campsite is beautifully designed and very well maintained. The sanitary facilities and communal areas are modern, clean and of a high standard. We especially loved the campfire area, which created a fantastic atmosphere in the evening. The staff were friendly, and overall the site has a lot of charm. We would definitely consider staying again.
Disliked Communication could be improved. We were told we had to move from our original pitch if we wanted electricity, so we were relocated to a pitch directly beside the chemical toilet disposal area. Later that evening we returned to our original pitch and discovered that the electricity was working there after all, making the move unnecessary. We were also not informed that after 11:00 a.m. guests are no longer allowed to stay in the communal building for breakfast or to relax, which came as a surprise. Better communication at check-in would have made our stay much more enjoyable.

From the manager: We’re pleased you enjoyed the site, our facilities, the campfire area and found the team friendly.
We would, however, like to clarify a few points. During your stay an unexpected electrical fault affected both your pitch and a neighbouring pitch. As this occurred out of hours, our team worked to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. While the fault was being investigated, we offered you an alternative pitch with electricity so that you were not left without power. Once the fault had been repaired, electricity was restored to your original pitch.
We also disagree with your comments regarding communication. Our check-in time of 2:00 pm, check-out time of 10:00 am, and the fact that the communal lounge and kitchen are reserved for guests staying in our on-site accommodation rather than touring caravans and motorhomes are all clearly stated in our booking confirmation, pre-arrival emails and text messages.
Throughout your stay our team did everything possible to assist you, including providing additional help beyond what would normally be expected. While we’re sorry an unexpected fault occurred, we are confident it was handled promptly and professionally.
