  • Scenic site filled with flowers under 10 minutes' drive from Newquay
  • Two lakes for coarse fishing plus nature reserve
  • Heated pool, crazy golf, playgrounds, games room and licensed shop
It’s easy to see why so many people come back to Trevella Holiday Park every year. Set just outside of Newquay, under 10 minutes' drive from its centre, this fabulously floral site has been giving a warm welcome for more than 50 years. The grounds are blooming lovely, with fishing lakes filled with lilies and a wide range of facilities. Little buds can shoot around the heated outdoor pool, paddling pool, crazy golf, games room and playgrounds for different ages. There’s free coarse fishing in the two lakes, a pretty nature reserve to explore and a licensed shop on site, too. The roomy pitches sit within handsome parkland with access to high-quality amenities, including family bathrooms, baby changing and a laundry room. As well as being near to lively Newquay, Trevella Holiday Park is in a good spot for beach days. The nearest is Crantock beach, five minutes' drive away. Perran Sands, Holywell beach and Perranporth beach are all within a 15-minute drive of the site.

What customers say

Decent-sized, well-kept site, friendly folk, good spot. Clean facilities, roomy pitches, kid-friendly pool & playground loved. Pods with bathrooms popular. Mostly good stays, would return, but some noise, tired showers, and muddy/sloping hardstanding pitches were downsides. Pub and shop a bonus.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Well laid out site which is clean and offers great facilities. We loved having direct access to a footpath leading to the estuary and the beach.
The bus stop right outside the campsite made travel easy to and from Newquay.

Disliked There was no pavement on the road into Crantock village

Ensuite camping pod

Liked Pod was well insulated so stayed cool in the most intense heat (image it would be cosy in cooler months).
En-suite was spotlessly clean and a great facility. Didn’t realise it was a shower, basin and WC, so that was a bonus.
Well stocked little store and Piskie Inn had a great range of drinks.
Friendly staff, particularly the guy on the mower who assisted when we got lost searching for the lakes (the site is huge).
Great that it has a pool, but have to book on the day so we didn’t manage to get a slot.
We had a great time and it was the perfect base for exploring the local area.
Recommend the Smugglers Den Inn for fantastic meals (10 mins away in Cubert)

Disliked Pod initially appeared clean on arrival, but when sweeping out before we left, it was apparent under the beds had not been swept/hovered in a long while.
Outside washing up sink (attached to en-suite) was fitted too high and ideally would benefit from some sort of canopy.
Lots of dust due to type of road surface and dry weather.
Signage to different pitch types not great, many, many cars taking the wrong turn into the en-suite pod area and having to turn around and route back to the right place.
With a site of this size it was a shame there wasn’t a clubhouse/evening entertainment etc.
Recycling area not so easy to access, could be more recycling points within the site.
No shade on the pitch, could do with providing a parasol for the picnic table etc.
Hooks for jackets are too low and sited right above the bins which=h isn’t ideal (though challenging with the sloping sides of the pod)

Ensuite camping pod

Liked Pods with en-suits were great. Camp site was lovely and clean, plenty nearby to do. Will definitely return.

Disliked Camping pod electrics blew if we plugged in camping fridge or air fryer meaning lots of food thrown away/unable to be cooked, and had to get pizza from onsite pizza van- costing £50 for the family!

Local attractions

A quick meander along the verdant country lanes and pathways around Trevella can lead in various directions: a historic smugglers’ inn, a beach, Crantock’s thatched cottages and pretty village church, or to the Gannel estuary to fish, paddle, birdwatch or make the short hop on the ferry to Newquay. The latter probably needs no introduction, but on top of its famous beaches, it has a zoo, aquarium, farm park, boating lake and miniature railway – plus swimming pools (with flumes) and golf courses. This being Cornwall, visitors will find no shortage of ace attractions less than an hour away. Recommendations include losing oneself in the gardens at Heligan, taking in an atmospheric show at the open-air Minack Theatre, on the cliffs overlooking the sea; heading into the Eden Project’s massive crater, to examine the exotic flora in the jaw-dropping megadomes; and some painterly perusal at the Tate Gallery in St Ives. Then there are adventure parks, National Trust properties and open gardens galore; plus a lively programme of local land- and sea-based events, from festivals to carnivals, and regattas to traditional Cornish gig racing.
