Set in 20 rural acres on the Cheshire Plain and five minutes’ drive from the pretty village of Tattenhall, Manor Farm Caravan Park is a small family-owned site with hardstanding and grass pitches sheltered by high hedges and trees. It’s a peaceful spot that’s something of a wildlife haven; you might wake up to the chirping of birds and the sight of playful wild rabbits scuttling around the fields. Keep your eyes open at dusk and you may spot ducks and geese settling for the night around the ponds, or hedgehogs foraging for food. Tattenhall has its fair share of half-timbered cottages and indie shops as well as pubs, restaurants and takeaways if you’re wanting someone else to do the legwork where food is concerned. When you’re looking for outdoor adventures, Delamere Forest (20 minutes) is a labyrinth of walking, horse riding and cycling trails, while Chester (also 20 minutes) makes a great day out thanks to its Roman/medieval walls, half-timbered Tudor-era architecture and zoo. Facilities have been kept to a minimum so as not to disturb the wildlife, but all the pitches have an electric hook-up. There are also spotless showers with loads of hot water to go round, and a covered washing-up sink.

  • The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).
  • Group bookings of 3 or more adults are not permitted (couples and immediate family members excepted).
  • No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
  • Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
  • The site caters for families (immediate members) and couples only - bookings from all other forms of groups are not accepted.
  • Continental touring caravans (caravans built with the passenger door on the right-hand side) are not permitted.
  • At least one of the party members must be aged 21 or over.
  • A cable measuring at least 10 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.
  • Units longer than 8 metres are not allowed.
  • Bookings must not consist of more than 2 different households.
  • Swimming in the lake is not allowed.
  • There is no reception on-site: on arrival please contact the number provided on your booking confirmation.

Great, peaceful spot with loads of space and value. Spotless loos and showers, plus super friendly owners. Dog field a winner! A few wanted more toilets and nearby shops, but most loved it as a base and would come back.

Liked Very quiet site. Pitches well spaced out.
Looks like there are plans to improve site with a shop and cafe which will make it a lot better for those little this that have been forgotten.

Badger electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch (large)

Liked Loved the site, nice and quiet with a large field in the middle where the kids could play. Owner was nice and approachable. Showers were warm, good water pressure most of the time and clean.

Disliked Shower cubicles are a bit small, could do with a mop so you can clean the floors after showering, but I’m just being picky.

Liked Had 4 Lovely nights at this site, Fab large enclosed field to walk the dogs. Nice walk through fields to Tattenhall village which has 3 pubs and also a Spar. Site was tidy with plenty of space not crowded & Weather was fantastic, fab holiday will defo come back.
