First time camping with large family.
Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked This was our first camping trip in years and we chose close to home just in case things didnt work out. This place is beautiful. The grounds are absolutely immaculate and well maintained.
The toilet and shower blocks although a little old are spotless. There are several toilets, a few sinks with chairs that are enclosed with shower curtains and a few showers that have both a curtain and loackable door. On site round the back of these there is also a family bathroom which is disabled friendly. It has a bath which made it so easy bathing 3 small children and it also contains a shower. They close them for 2 hours every day to make sure they are cleaned and replenished.
Our pitch was amazing. We had number 14 which was right at the back and large enough for our tent and family. It was quite private and kept us enough distance from other families so my children didn't disturb them and we in turn also weren't disturbed on a night when bedding them down. The site is only small so the facilities were only a short walk away. I honestly don't understand the reviews saying everything was trek and people had even taken their cars. My children woke me numerous times for toilet runs through the night and not only did I feel safe but the walk was a few minutes at the most.
The on site shop had most things you need for top ups or things you forget. It was very reasonably priced and didn't put a mark up on products like most other places do. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. They made us feel welcome and were good with the kids.
The site was full of lovely families and the children were all playing together and sharing toys. It was lovely to be able to relax and let kids be kids.
There was a few incidents of noise. To be fair we actually didn't hear most of it but the staff came round to apologise and tell us they were dealing with it. I think it was campers who had a few teenage boys with them. Although this site is lovely for small children and even has a park to add to the fun it is probably a little to tame for any child over the age of 12 so noise forgiven really.
Other than that the site was quiet by 11pm as per rules. Kids were allowed to play and run riot as kids should. The staff came round on a night to make sure no one was making noise but during the day kids were able to play what they wanted.
Location was fantastic. Scarborough 20 minutes one way, pickering not fair in the other. Short drive to brid, filey and York. The water sports park was 5 minutes down the road and only 15 minute drive to a supermarket. Its such a good location but far enough away from the hustle and bustle if you don't want it.
There's an option to purchase WiFi but we found the signal quite good anyway and also didn't want kids on devices we just wanted family time so was perfect for us.
Overall we were very happy with our stay and are looking forward to booking again very soon.
Disliked Nothing we loved everything about it. Apparently there used to be a football field. Could have something like this for older children again.

Overall was a lovely stay.
Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Clean facilities
Lovely Park
Short car drive to out door water park and fishing
Not too far from Scarborough centre, 20min drive
Disliked Toilets, showers and pot washing facilities need to be closer to the tent grounds
Wish there were more things around in walking distance
Onsite Shop was only open twice a day
Some people did not pick up their dog poo and my child fell in it causing upset (full back of shorts and t-shirt covered in poo) - No reflection on the park just people that should be more respectful of the grounds

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Pitches were all well maintained and large. The site in general was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly. Shower and toilets look dated but are clean and regularly checked. Family bathroom is a big benefit for families with young children. The play park is also a great addition to the site. Close to villages and Scarborough, we used the nearby park and ride which runs regularly.

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely review. We’re really pleased you enjoyed your stay and appreciated the spacious pitches, clean surroundings and friendly atmosphere on the park. It’s also great to hear the family bathroom and play area were such a benefit for your family.
We’re glad you enjoyed the location too, close enough for easy trips out to Scarborough and the surrounding villages whilst still being somewhere peaceful to return to afterwards. Thank you for mentioning the park and ride - its definitely a handy option for avoiding the traffic into town.
We hope to welcome you back again in the future.

Nice campsite however needs some money injecting into it.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Friendly and helpful staff and good sized pitches.
Disliked Toilets and shower block desperately need updating and I heard many other people say the same thing. Need more showers to accommodate your guests demand! Very small onsite shop with friendly staff, however also where you have to queue every time to hand in/collect your ice packs to be stored in the freezer which was very frustrating. Why not just have a freezer chest in one of your other rooms like all other campsites? Personally I didn’t feel it was worth £35 a night and wouldn’t return.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback and for highlighting our friendly staff and spacious pitches.
We appreciate that opinions on facilities can vary from person to person. Whilst our toilet and shower blocks may not reflect the very latest design trends or colour schemes, they are maintained to a very high standard and are regularly praised for their cleanliness and upkeep. We also monitor guest usage carefully and work hard to ensure facilities are available and well maintained throughout busy periods.
With regards to the freezer facilities, we do appreciate your comments. Our current system allows us to manage freezer space safely and fairly for all guests, although we understand it may not have suited your preference.
We are sorry to hear you did not feel your stay represented value for money, but we do thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and wish you all the best for your future camping trips.

Liked Really good sized pitches and lovely staff.
Toilets were clean and well maintained. Loved the family bathroom which had a bath in it, making washing two young children much easier.
The play area on site was good, enough there to keep the kids entertained.
Great location, close enough to Scarborough for a day trip but not too close.
Disliked The shower button didnt stay on very long so was a bit frustrating.
