Lower Meadow non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Immaculately maintained campsite in a beautiful location you can have the peace and quiet of Whittlingham broad but also walk into Trowse or Norwich if you wish. Redwell brewery nearby is worth a visit at the weekend and does great Pizza
site is small, peaceful and laid back family run and very friendly

Great campsite in a nice location, shame about the visiting dog.
Lower Meadow non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Facilities were clean and well attended. Nice campsite appearance and well kept.
Well stocked shop and local information.
Lots of wildlife spotted on site.
Clear instructions and rules.
Nice location and right next to a country park for a nice walk.
Disliked Campsite warden’s dog visiting pitches with nobody in sight to remove the dog. Dog would come right into pitches despite having our own dogs there on leads. Although the dog seems quite friendly, it does bark at you and other dogs and sets them off. It did come early one morning and barked at a neighbouring dog for quite some time and woke up half the lower field. We would have to shoo the dog away and text the owner. Happened on multiple occasions. Not great for people with reactive dogs. Can’t be helped also but you can hear the train from the lower field quite frequently and it is next to a public car park with cars coming and going through the night.

Lower Meadow non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Beautiful surroundings and very laid back campsite. It was so nice to not have hundreds of rules listed and posted all over the place as I've experienced at some other sites. Very child and dog friendly - I would definitely recommend.

Lower Meadow non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Hosts are super nice, reception and common area very cosy and welcoming (especially at night with the beautiful lighting). Showers and bathrooms all very, very clean. Nice little shop. 1 minute walk to the beautiful country park and also very close to downtown Norwich - and still in the middle of nature. Great stay, thank you!

Lovely campsite, would return
Lower Meadow non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Lovely campsite setting. Well maintained facilities (toilet / shower block). Handy on-site shop. Good kids playground and nice camping field with space to play games. Really helpful with arranging our late arrival. Location to the nearby lake was great and we enjoyed kayaking at the nearby centre.
Disliked Not a great deal of shade.

From the manager: Hiya Deborah - We apologise if the campsite dog (solo, 1 dog only!) caused you any upset on site - she does not roam free as par the course - occasionally coming out with one of the staff for an hour or 2, she is generally well received and dog has a loud bark as she is a large breae but I can assure you has no aggression at all. She is carefully managed and as we come into busier period she will not be around on the campsite. As a super dog friendly site It is nice to sometimes have her to work with us and most dogs enjoy meeting her too.
It is our rules to have dogs under close control - not necessarily on the lead as all dogs don't fare well with this
We are glad you had a great stay on site
Lovely site, great location and classy facilities
Lower Meadow non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Location, close to the Broads and the City. Easy to access and really high quality facilities. Great price too.
Disliked No electric (but understand why), and a small toilet facility on the lower meadow would be handy.

From the manager: Thank you for your review and lovely photos
the toilets are only a few seconds walk from the furthest end of the lower meadow so should be convenient for all, we don't have the infrastructure at present for a loo in the lower field but do provide an Elson point if you choose to bring along your own loo
I hope this helps, we hope you can enjoy the site another tiome soon
