Electric optional grass tent pitch

Liked Absolutely fantastic site, we camped without electric and had a brilliant time. There was more than plenty of space so didn't have people on top of us and could have a raised fire pit for the cooler evening
The whole site was so well maintained and the facilities available were clean, tidy and really well kept.
The staff were all brilliant and super helpful.
Was lucky enough to pair our stay on a Wednesday so got to see Wheelie Wednesday in full swing which was awesome.
We fished a few times as well and had a absolute blast, lakes were really well stocked and again plenty of room to not be on top of other anglers.
We will absolutely return again!!!!

Disliked Nothing we disliked - however it would be good to have a small shop (if the opportunity ever arises) for essentials or fishing essentials - but there is a garage down the road should you need anything like bread or milk etc.

Electric optional grass touring pitch

Liked Getting the "tin bivvy" next to the swim was a real bonus for night fishing and added a touch of luxury. Son caught PB catfish. Will go back very soon.

Electric optional grass touring pitch

Liked The site was nice and clean , plenty of bins around the site, we had a takeaway on the Friday night from the on-site cafe/restaurant which was nicely presented and ready for collection within 15 mins of ordering , fishing lakes well stocked .. just went for the weekend but will be booking again for longer next time …

Disliked I think only complaint would be the price of the fishing for our 5 year old grandson who wanted to learn to fish , obviously at 5 he’s not going to stay sitting there all day so 20 mins here and there , I think hubby said it was £7 for him , steep for a small child …

Local attractions

Head to High Lodge (half an hour’s drive) to kickstart your tour of Thetford Forest. There are all sorts of ways to become one with the forest, from hiring out a Segway, taking an archery lesson or finding your zen with forest yoga. Go Ape Thetford (half an hour) will require a little bravery and some acrobatic skills for its treetop courses and zipwires, but on the ground, there are three cycling trails and four footpaths to follow from High Lodge. If you’re looking to find some places where the kids are likely to be entertained, Banham Zoo (35 minutes) is one such place, as are Melsop Farm Park (35 minutes) and Church Farm Stow Bardolph (15 minutes), two farm parks with a variety of animals and farm-style activities. A day at the coast is also possible from this site… just pick your seafront of choice. Perhaps Hunstanton (55 minutes) and Cromer (an hour and 20 minutes) to the north, or Great Yarmouth (an hour and 10 minutes) to the east? Towards the coast is Bressingham Steam & Gardens (40 minutes), a nice choice to see working steam locomotives in the flesh.
