  • Touring park a couple of minutes' drive from Skegness beach
  • Spacious family-friendly site; pets welcome too
  • Secure site with well-equipped touring pitches
Set up back in 2016 on open farmland just on the outskirts of Lincolnshire seaside capital Skegness: if you want busy and seaside town days along with days among green Lincolnshire countryside, petite and clean Skegness Fields is a well-placed pick. Pitches are hardstanding ones for tourers and motorhomes, and come with electric hook-up and a water point. The smart facilities include a swish shower and toilet block, washing-up area and chemical disposal. As it's a family-friendly site, Skegness Fields has plenty of room for kids to roam and grownups to relax; it's a safely-kept site too, with a fully secure barrier entry system. The sands of Skegness are a couple of minutes' drive, a leisurely stroll or a quick bus ride away.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Incredably cheap, juyst £10 a night when staying 3 nights with a 3 for 2 night offer.

Really clean toilets and hot showers.

Disliked The camping pitches were poorly marked and crammed in together. Quite a long walk from the tent pitches to the bathrooms.

Liked Large Serviced Pitches,
Close to bus stop easy access to town centre

Circus next door to site

Great price for service pitch

Disliked Need to update rules No gazebos, no pup tents, no commercial vehicles signs up at reception, also on pitch up, all present on site so why mention it. My own van campervan without windows fell unsure of the welcome I’d receive.

Didn’t like receptionist bad mouthing the race teams and the Belgium’s to other guests checking in and offering to move them pitches, not offered to myself must be VIP guests as didn’t even mention the coaches, trucks and pit crews to me.

Not acceptable to have race cars driving around site be interesting to know the insurance status and also being repaired lots of cutting and grinding taking place Friday morning also blocking access in to the top field.

Toilets and showers need cleaned a lot more regularly

Liked Clean site, nice toilets/shower block, friendly staff

Disliked Would recommend anyone wanting to stay here to check the Skegness stock car racing timetable. There was obviously a big race on the night we stayed and the site was full of big trucks and vans with cars in. A lot of them returned at about 11.30/12 at night and made a lot of noise, sitting outside their vans and playing music so we didn’t get much sleep at all. Had to call security but it didn’t help much. Would have been helpful if the site had warned us of this, we would have stayed elsewhere. Toilets and showers were nice, only thing was you need a pass to access the ladies and they didn’t have separate sink cubicles which is a personal preference for me

Local attractions

Wander, take the car, or get the bus that stops just across the road from Skegness Fields to seaside town Skegness for days of coast and sand. The beach, sea and pier will likely be many folks' first stops (probably followed by a bag of hot fish and chips or an ice cream on the sands), but do take time too to get to the town's other top attractions, like the Natureland Seal Sanctuary and the fab and wild Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve just outside the centre. From Skegness, travel along the coast to Ingoldmells for a knuckle-tightening time at Fantasy Island, the mammoth amusement park with the world’s longest suspended rollercoaster and Europe’s longest looping rollercoaster. (A mammoth indoor market is also in town to totter to if you need to soothe yourself afterwards.) Other options around the sea and Lincolnshire are trips further along the coast to Sutton on Sea, Mablethorpe and on to Saltfleet, and inland to the walks and bike rides of the flat Wolds, or staggering under the weight of piles of newly purchased produce at Lincolnshire's market towns like Louth, Alford and Horncastle.
