A good family campsite or first time campers
Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch
Liked Zak on the desk and all other staff extremely helpful, even a security guard over night.
Great walks, and lot’s to do.
It was quite busy and when its’s busy you tend to be close to other campers (which is fine if you like that) but if you want some peace and space then maybe not this site.
We took our dog, wasn’t many other dogs around which worked well for us.
Disliked Poortaloo’s - very clean on arrival around lunchtime, but by the morning horrid.
I’ve already recommended this campsite and they’ve already stayed!
Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch
Liked Such a fabulous campsite with lots of activities very close for my daughter. Staff were very polite and helpful. The toilets and showers were exactly as they said they were in the description, and if the Porto style isn’t somewhere you like to go, there is a hardstanding toilet block near the play area.
A great stay but facilities are basic.
Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch
Liked The freedom of the site
The staff were really helpful and friendly
The price seemed correct for the basic site provisions.
Disliked Only portaloos and only 4 in the field I stayed in right in the bottom corner which is not ideal for people on one side of the field.
One hot tap sink out in the open and one cold tap sink next to it

Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch
Liked Easy and fast check in, great atmosphere, relaxed and calm. Beautiful grounds. Close enough to get into London city easily but far enough away to be in the countryside. Love that you can pitch up anywhere.
Disliked Only issue was that the toilets were often unclean and unsanitary. For such a large campsite a shower / sink / toilet upgrade would be ideal.
From the manager: Thank you for your positive comments and feedback. We do have staff that do constant checks and cleans throughout the day and have staff in early and late to ensure that we can get this covered throughout the early morning and late evening too. However, they are only as clean as the last camper has left them, so do rely on campers to not leave these in a mess after use.

Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch

Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch
Liked Site, welcome, facilities, location
Disliked Noise after midnight. Dogs loose off leads. Talking, barking and music after midnight
From the manager: Thank you for leaving a review and good to receive feedback from our campers.
We do have security onsite to attend to these which all campers have the number provided on their wristbands if there are any issues and if others are not following our campsite rules, so our security guards can then follow this up.
Well worth the money. I will be using the site again.
Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch
Liked Easy find (No narrow Roads)
Large site plenty of walks for me and the dog.
Friendly Staff on site and Security Guard on the night.
