Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked: The location was beautiful, with lovely views. It was quiet and easy to find. A good sized pitch with electric hook up for our campervan with clean basic facilities. There are several good pubs within walking distance from the site and picturesque walks. The town is several miles.

From the manager: Hi, thanks for staying with us & leaving a review, we're glad you enjoyed your stay, we would just advise that Stow on the Wold, the main town is only 1.5 miles away, & takes about 30 minutes to walk to from the campsite, & rather than direct people along the busy road we advice a nice walk through a small village called Maugersbury which has a foot path to Stow. details of local walks are in handouts available at the information point in the clubhouse.
Many thanks for visiting Stow RFC!

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked: Erm.
Disliked: The entire site is on a slope, it took us probably 20 mins to level each vehicle. If you're in a tent, you're stuffed.
Having purchased our pitch, there was no contact from the site owner or ability to contact the site owner. We had no idea where to camp and just pitched up where we thought best.

From the manager: Hi Daniel, we're sorry you didn't enjoy your stay with us, some of the site is on a gentle slope, however most people don't seem to have an issue with this & its pretty clear from the reviews we've received that most of our guests are comfortable & there are several flat areas on the site.
Contact wise, we don't have a full time manager on site as its not economical for us given the size of the site, we would need to double our rates to afford one, however there are very clear signs on the entrance to the site detailing booked pitch numbers & names, & also very clearly stating if you don't have a pitch booked, you are free to pitch anywhere on the grass area you wish. There is also a telephone number on your booking information, also clearly displayed on the welcome board & very obviously displayed in the clubhouse where the site information is located so wouldn't have been difficult to find.
Sorry again that you didn't enjoy your stay with us.
Great place within walking distance of Stow on the Wold town centre.

Liked: Situated far enough away from busy as ever Stow on the Wold to be away from the hustle & bustle yet near enough to walk or cycle to up the not too busy A436.
Beside the standard size Rugby pitch, there's plenty room for Motorised camping as well as tents, EHU is available on Hard standing & grass at the top end of the site. The Shower block & toilet facilities are excellent, (the washing up area is a short walk round the side of the Club House, whervthere's food nd drink availabe(as you might expect at a Rugby Union Club.
Excellent all round. A short walk across the fields will getvyou to the nearest village if you want a 'proper pub' in Oddington
With regard to the star values..no stars for Accomodation as. You bring your own !!

Electric grass touring pitch
Liked: Stayed for 3 nights and will definitely be back. Various Rugby matches were being played while we were there which we enjoyed and also the welcoming hosts in the clubhouse where we had a drink and food. Lovely 3ish mile walk into Stow. Toilets and showers were immaculate, with plenty hot water.
Slightly sloping pitches, so remember levelling blocks etc.
