Spacious farm pitches with Lathkill Dale access. Owners praised as friendly & helpful. Clean, modern facilities. Good for Peak District exploring, food vans on weekends. Can get busy, occasional water pressure issues. Improvements ongoing.

Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked Large relaxed site, informal pitching, great views and good local walks. Dog friendly. Quiet after 11 pm. Nice area with picnic benches and at weekend vans selling pizza, snacks and booze. Breakfast too.
Disliked Block was spotless but probably insufficient for such a massive campsite on a busy weekend. Had vehicles moving close to it with no signage or speed control

Very disappointing & insufficient facilities for the number of campers
Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked Lovely location. Good walks from site
Disliked Insufficient facilities for the amount of people. Big queues for the ladies toilets and then no toilet paper. The camping fields were like a massive ghettos. Hard to find a flat spot and certainly not quiet. Very disappointing.

From the manager: Hi Tracey, sorry our campsite wasn’t up to your standards and you thought it was too busy. What can I say if you ever run a business as successful and as popular as ours being busy will be a problem you will have. Keep smiling 😊

Liked Open fields and choice of pitches
Location very nice
Disliked Although clean, for size of site more
toilet and shower block facilities should be available.
Lack of bins (including dog waste bins) around site.
Shop stock extremely limited, do not except to stock up on essentials eg.milk

From the manager: Hi Georgina, thanks for your review, you are slightly more positive than your friend you pitched with she was a 2/10 sorry we sold out of a few essentials this weekend. I am in talks with Tesco to get a franchise on site but it’s not looking promising. We have a large skip you can dispose of your mess near the entrance which has worked pretty well for the last 20 years 😊
Great facilities, spacious pitches, lovely views
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Lovely campsite where you can pitch up wherever you like with gorgeous views. Facilities were clean and had everything needed, the bar and pizza van were a fabulous addition! 10 mins to Bakewell with lots of lovely villages and walks nearby.

Liked Such a stunning campsite - beautiful location and views. Facilities were great - toilets were clean and the shared kitchen was great. Lovely food trucks, well stocked shop and general all round good vibes! Great location for Lathkill Dale and only a 10 minute drive into Bakewell

Lovely campsite, we will be back.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked The facilities are lovely, really clean and well stocked. Plenty of toilets and showers so there’s always a free cubicle. The kitchen is great, with fridge, freezer and charging points. Pitches are lovely and spacious, lots of woodland for the children to explore safely.
Disliked A small comment to various bits of rubbish and litter around the campsite. I think it could have been cleaner in the woodland areas.
